HE KEPT ME: WHAT THE OLD FOLKS USED TO SAY

The old mothers and deacons did not need a microphone to preach a whole sermon. They would just stand to their feet and say He woke me up this morning, started me on my way, and kept me clothed in my right mind. That was enough to shift the whole room.

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Psalm 103:2

Say what the old folks used to say. He did not have to do it, but He did it anyway. He kept me.

DON’T LET YOUR SITUATION STEAL YOUR PRAISE

Paul and Silas were bound in chains at midnight, and they still lifted up praise. They did not let the situation steal what belonged to God.

About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and the chains fell off. Acts 16:25-26

Whatever situation you are going through right now, do not let it steal your praise. Your chains fall off the same way theirs did, in the middle of worship.
