Furniture Update

Unfortunately, the furniture has still not been released to either Hurricane Helene survivors or the original donors. These donated items were obtained under the representation that they would be distributed to those in need, yet they remain unavailable to both the intended recipients and the rightful donors.

This situation raises serious concerns about accountability and stewardship of donated resources. We continue to have documentation and records from the furniture owner regarding these donations and their intended purpose.

There have also been references made to alleged “swatting” incidents. We encourage anyone making such claims to fully understand the meaning of the term. We welcome any legitimate law enforcement involvement and are prepared to provide all documentation and receipts related to these donations.

We remain committed to ensuring that donated furniture reaches the families and communities it was intended to help.

FREE FURNITURE FOR HELENE SURVIVORS

The Appalachian Reclamation Koalition (ARK) is pleased to offer free furniture to individuals and families impacted by Hurricane Helene.

This generous donation was provided by Sherrill Furniture in Hickory, North Carolina, to help support recovery efforts throughout Western North Carolina.

Furniture is currently available at the Carson Creek Farm located at 682 Dillingham Rd., Barnardsville, NC., currently stored in the barn and large red storage building.
These FREE items(approximately 3 semi trailer loads) included:

Tables
Dressers
Chairs
End tables
And other household furnishings

Most of the furniture remains in their original wrapping and are New or in excellent condition.

If you or someone you know is in need of furniture, please feel free to visit the farm and take what is needed at NO COST!!
