Thermal Belt Bassmasters

Bass Fishing Club in NC We are the premier fishing club of Western North Carolina. We are also one of the largest Bass Fishing Clubs in North Carolina.

Thermal Belt Bass Masters is headquartered in Rutherford County and meets monthly at Horn's Tire & Auto in the township of Ellenboro. We fish a variety of regional lakes which include Lake James, Lake Hickory, Lake Norman, and Lake Wylie. We also fish other lakes and even have "away" two-day tournaments at lakes such as Lake Murray, Lake Hartwell, Lake Russell, and Smith Mountain Lake which are la

kes located in other states. These are wonderful trips that are filled with excitement and challenges. During these fishing trips great techniques, information and advice is freely exchanged to allow each member to grow in their expertise. Points are awarded based on the position one may finish in a tournament plus the weight of the fish caught and points earned for the attendance of meetings and/or events. These points accumulate for awards at the end of the year.

******Lake Murray - March 22nd & 23rd 2025******

Day 1 results.
Congratulations to Tyler Hensley for taking 1st place with 20.12lbs. Michael Mace had 2nd with 18.92lbs and big fish weighing 5.12lbs. Chris Martin brought home 3rd with 15.88lbs.

Day 2 results.
Tyger Elton took 1st place with 12.70lbs. Alan Cooke had 2nd with 11.57lbs. Roger Whitesides brought home 3rd with 10lbs. Michael Mace brought in a 4.91lb largemouth to win big fish.

John Mayo brought a lunker to the scales weighing 1.12lbs to win little fish for the weekend!

Our next tournament will be on Sunday April 13th at Lake Norman launching from Little Creek Access, 7am to 3pm.

******* Lake Wylie - February 8th, 2025*******

Congratulations to Michael Mace for taking 1st place with 14.64lbs. Jake Scoggins had 2nd with 12.29lbs and Mikey Munn brought home 3rd with 11.22lbs. Mace had big fish with a 3.76lb Largemouth! Congrats guys!

Hope to see everyone at Lake Murray, March 22nd and 23rd!!!

******* Mt. Island Lake - January 4th, 2025*******

Congratulations to Michael Mace for taking 1st place with 16lbs. Alan Cooke had 2nd with 10.91lbs and Ben Mayo brought home 3rd with 10.63lbs. Ben also had big fish with a 4.78lb spotted bass! Congrats guys!

Hope to see everyone on February 8th at Lake Wylie!!
