Maybe you aren't a dancer. The square dancing isn't the point.

What we are REALLY doing is hosting a community gathering where everyone is welcome.

Did you know that horses could square dance?

The InterMission horses will stay safe in the pasture during our square dancing event on Sept 12th, but there ARE real horse square dances.

I'm curious - what do you think that looks like?

Grayson and I have a HUGE announcement coming up at our Sept 12 event. We've been having a lot of fun working on the video for that announcement. Here's a few outtakes from our first video shoot. I guess we've got some work to do! 😆😂

Horses can be mirrors to show us ourselves.

In equine facilitated coaching, we allow the horses as much freedom as possible. This gives them the ability to reflect back to us what we most need to know.

One of the biggest lessons horses teach us has very little to do with horses.

It has to do with the stories we create.

Someone might assume a horse isn't interested because it walked away.

Another person might think a horse is being stubborn.
But often those stories aren't true at all.

The horse is simply responding to something we haven't noticed yet.

How often do we do the same thing with people?

We fill in the blanks.
We make assumptions.
We create stories without knowing the whole picture.

Horses invite us to become curious before becoming certain.

That lesson extends far beyond the barn. 🌿
