Last night, we hosted our 3rd Annual Firefighter Appreciation Dinner on at Station three and fed a crew of 55. 🧑‍🚒

As firefighter spouses and families, we are incredibly grateful for the dedication, sacrifice, and service these firefighters give to our community every day. It was a nice evening to show our appreciation with a good meal. 🥘

A huge thank you to Sammy’s in Elk River for providing a variety of pastas and garlic bread. Everything was great, and we had just enough! 😅

And another shoutout to all the spouses for making yummy bars, cookies and cakes for dessert! 🎂

Last night was our final meeting night with Anne before she and her husband, Chief Mark, officially begin their retirement chapter and head north to enjoy life at their lake property, (and eventually with their grand-babies in AZ.)

Thank you for your support over the years here. Wishing you both endless relaxation, happiness, lake days, and new adventures ahead. Congratulations to BOTH of you on your well-earned retirements! ❤️

We’ve had more interest in our boutique items the last few weeks. These are thrifted items that we bring to Brite Stitch in Otsego to have embroidered and sold for just $20 each. We’d like to recognize Mike Tietz (my dad!) for 22 years of dedicated service to ERFD. Last night, City Council honored Mike for this milestone and officially proclaimed June 16, 2026 as “Mike Tietz Day” in the City of Elk River.

Congratulations, “Big Mike Tietz” and thank you for your years of dedication to this community. We’re proud of you! 👨‍🚒

The Elk River Fire Foundation would like to recognize and thank all firefighters—career, volunteer, retired, and those currently serving—for the time, training, and commitment it takes to answer the call.

We’re especially grateful for the men and women serving our community and for the families who support them behind the scenes.

Happy Saturday! This morning we supplied and hid almost two hundred eggs for the fire fam kiddos this morning. This is always such a fun event for them! We hope you all had a lovely Easter!

Last week we gathered for our annual dinner—always one of our favorite traditions. This year, Serrano Brothers took incredible care of us, and everything from the food to the drinks was delicious.

We’re grateful for everyone who continues to follow along and support this little group—it means a lot.
