Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove Our mission is "to promote, support, and improve cycling in Elk Grove" The Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove is a 501(c)(3) public charity recognized by the IRS.

The Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove (FCEG) is a group of dedicated cycling advocates and enthusiasts from Elk Grove Village and the surrounding area that simply want people to ride bikes more often – to school, to work, for errands, for exercise, and for enjoyment! We meet regularly to discuss the state of cycling in Elk Grove, identify areas of improvement, and determine ways to share the many benefits of cycling with others.

Friends of Cycling in Elk Grove (FCEG), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making Elk Grove Village and surrounding areas more bike-friendly, is officially seeking visionary leaders to join its Board of Directors. New board members will have a unique opportunity to shape the future of active transportation in the community.

FCEG is seeking individuals who are passionate about community health and sustainability. While enthusiasm about bicycling is welcome, the board is specifically looking for expertise in the following areas to support the organization:⁣
✅ 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 & 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠: Help grow our network of local business sponsors.⁣
✅ 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: Assist with social media, newsletters, and general awareness efforts.⁣
✅ 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Assist with community events and volunteer recruitment.⁣
✅ 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: engage with partners on bike-friendly initiatives and programs for adults and children.
