They have turned up the volume. All those mice you see in front of them will be eaten quickly. They are now eating on their own. They no longer make this sound as adults. Enjoy while you can.

When you get a box of hissing barn Owl babies in, you better have mice and rats on hand. They will be going out with the other one who is with the foster mom.

We have had a fun and busy weekend taking our educational birds to events. Friday we were at The Santa Fe Indian School and Saturday we were at The Pilar Visitors Center.

A prehistoric something???? A baby Barn Owl. He came our way because we have a foster mom so he won’t be alone nor imprinted onto us human beings. ❤️

Two Golden Eagles Released. They stayed up for the hour we spent watching them after the release and were joined by 3 more flew over.

For their size the Long Eared Owl has quite a big wing span. He weighs only around 200grams.
