There was a time when a judge looked me in the eye and called me a walking crime wave.An investigator once told me that wherever I lived, the crime rate went up.

These Charges Are Just a small fraction of my life of crime.. If actually got caught & convicted as some of the other things I got away with.. I’d die in Prison..

Back then, I was exactly the kind of person parents hoped their kids wouldn’t become. I brought chaos with me. I burned bridges faster than I built them. Every bad decision seemed to lead to another one.

Today, I look around and sometimes it’s hard to believe I’m the same man.

The fire is still there. The hustle is still there. The stubbornness is definitely still there.

The difference is where I point it.

What once helped me survive now helps me serve.

What once got me into trouble now helps me build things, help people, feed families, mentor others, and create opportunities where none existed before.

People think change happens when you become someone else.

It doesn’t.

Real change happens when the same energy that was destroying your life gets redirected toward building one.

I spent years becoming the person everyone warned their kids about.

Now I spend my days trying to become the person I wish I would’ve met when I was young.

And every once in a while, I think about that judge and that investigator.

Turns out they were right about one thing.

Wherever I go, I still change the neighborhood.

Just not in the way I used to.
