It’s Membership Drive Month! 🚨
We need your help to continue building, maintaining, and advocating for trails in East Central Georgia. If you’ve been thinking about joining or renewing your membership with Southern Off-Road Bicycle Association and Hi-Lo SORBA, now is the perfect time!
βœ… Sign up or renew this month and you’ll:
🎁 Be entered into our membership giveaway
πŸ› οΈ Help Hi-Lo SORBA compete in the BackSlope Tool Challenge
🌲 Directly support local trails, equipment, and trail advocacy
πŸ’‘ Ever wonder where your $39/year membership goes?
We recently took a deeper look at how a SORBA membership supports both local trails and the larger mountain bike community. Here’s the breakdown:
🚡 40% ($15.60) β†’ Directly back to your local chapter
πŸ›‘οΈ 15.4% ($6.00) β†’ Liability insurance for trail workdays & events
πŸ‘₯ 28.3% ($11.04) β†’ Regional staff support
πŸ“š 7.1% ($2.77) β†’ Training, summits, and education for chapter leaders
πŸ“± 5.5% ($2.16) β†’ Membership platform & app support
🏒 2.3% ($0.88) β†’ Operational overhead
πŸš— 1.4% ($0.55) β†’ SORBA staff travel
That means over 55% of your membership directly supports local trails, trail work, and chapter operations β€” while another 36.8% helps sustain advocacy, education, and regional support across the Southeast.
Your membership is more than a sticker or a number β€” it helps build trails, maintain equipment, support volunteers, and grow the riding community we all enjoy.
Thank you for supporting trails in East Central Georgia and beyond. 🌲🚡

Today is International Women’s Mountain Biking Day πŸ’š

We’re celebrating the women across the SORBA region who are building trails, leading rides, and creating space for more people to get out and ride, and the riders who show up, push themselves, and bring others along the way.

Here’s to more women on trails - let's get out and ride!

πŸ“Έ Tag us and use and on your adventures today so we can share the stoke!
