🇺🇸⛳🔥 MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND WAS ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS! 🔥⛳🇺🇸

This Memorial Day Weekend, VGA South Carolina welcomed more than 120 players competing across two incredible destinations — Myrtle Beach 🌊 and Savannah Lakes near Aiken 🌄!

From the Grand Strand to the western edge of the Palmetto State, Veterans, family members, and friends came together for a weekend filled with competition, camaraderie, and unforgettable memories. 🤝⛳

In Myrtle Beach, players took on the fantastic layouts of Shaftesbury Glen and Glen Dornoch — two courses that delivered scenic views, challenging holes, and plenty of excitement! 🌴🏌️‍♂️

Meanwhile, at Savannah Lakes Monticello, one of South Carolina’s true hidden gems, players from all over the country gathered to tune up for the National Armed Forces Cup. With pristine conditions and a layout that demands your best, Monticello once again proved why it’s one of the state’s finest tests of golf. 💪⛳🏆

🎶 Birdies were dropping, putts found the cup,
Veterans showed out and never gave up!
From Myrtle’s coast to Savannah’s lakes,
The VGA family brought whatever it takes! 🎶

🚨🏌️‍♂️ VGA SOUTH CAROLINA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP REGISTRATION OPENS TOMORROW! 🏌️‍♂️🚨

🔥 The Road to the VGA National Championship starts HERE! 🔥

This is the first step toward earning your place at the VGA National Championship at Fallen Oak Golf Course on October 4th, 2026! Before Nationals, players must battle through the State Championship and Regional Championship — survive and advance! 💪🇺🇸

Executive Summary

📅 Registration Opens: TOMORROW at 0800
📍 State Championship: Monday, June 29th, 2026
⛳ Course: Seabrook Island Club – Ocean Winds Course
🕙 Format: 1000 Shotgun Start
✅ Eligibility: ACTIVE VGA member + 3 VGA regular season events played since September 1st, 2025
🌴 Regional Championship: August 15–16, 2026 at Reunion Resort & Golf Club
🏆 National Championship: October 4th, 2026 at Fallen Oak Golf Course

⚡ IMPORTANT:
You do NOT have to win your flight at State to advance! Multiple qualifying spots per flight will be announced prior to the event. At Regionals, the TOP 2 in each flight punch their ticket to Nationals! 🎟️🏆

⛳ State Championships are 1-day events
⛳ Regionals are 2-day events
⛳ Nationals are 2-day events PLUS a practice round

🔥 The Ocean Winds Course at Seabrook Island Club is going to provide an incredible championship test along the South Carolina coast. Wind, pressure, competition, camaraderie, and the pursuit of a National Championship berth — it doesn’t get much better than this!

“It’s not training unless it’s raining!” 🌧️⛳💪

Well… our VGA South Carolina members got PLENTY of training this week! From Aiken to Parris Island, our players battled through rain, wet fairways, soaked gear, and conditions that would send most golfers running for cover! 😂🌧️🏌️‍♂️

But if there’s one thing Veterans know how to do — it’s adapt and overcome. 🇺🇸🔥

At Legends at Parris Island, the rain never let up… but even then, it was STILL better to be a golfer than a Marine Recruit! 😅🪖🌧️

Despite the weather, both venues delivered fantastic golf and another unforgettable week of competition, camaraderie, and resilience. South Carolina golf never stops! ⛳🌴
