Good morning! Here’s the severe weather outlook for Tuesday (6/2).

🟢🟡 We are in a level 2/5 for this afternoon. All hazards are possible, including hail up to golf ball size, wind gusts up to 70 mph, and tornadoes are possible too.

TIMING: Timing remains on track to what we were discussing yesterday. Storms will begin to develop around 2-4pm. From there, they will march east/northeastward. Here are my best time estimates:
Black Hills - 4-8pm
Rapid City, Sturgis, Hermosa - 5-8pm
Plains - 6-10pm

THREATS: All severe weather threats are possible today. Tornadoes, Hail, and Wind are all possible with any storm that develops.

PREPARE: If possible, protect or bring in any plants to avoid hail damage. Make sure outdoor furniture is secured. Finally, make sure your tornado shelter is cleared out in case of a tornado warning. An interior room or a basement with no windows works best.
