Education is central to our mission at Brighter Days. We believe a compassionate society begins with a shared understanding of grief: what it is, what it is not, how it affects people across different ages, and how schools and organizations can respond with clarity and care when a death occurs.

Earlier this year, our team trained leadership teams across several organizations, including Hennepin County employees, and this week we are honored to be on‑site training the University of Minnesota Twin Cities social work department. As we move into the 2026–2027 academic year, our Growing Through Grief school districts will participate in a district wide training to ensure grieving students and staff return to environments that are more grief‑aware and better prepared to support them.

Our annual All Things Grief! Professional Development Conference is another powerful expression of this work, bringing together hundreds of professionals, including educators, from across Minnesota for a full day of learning and connection, with practical tools for supporting grieving children, families, and communities. Registration is now open, and we would love for you to join us. 💙

If you are ready to take the next step toward building a more compassionate, grief‑informed community, we would be honored to partner with you. Message us to connect.

Make sure to stop by and see us today at Grand Old Day as we proudly represent our St. Paul location. Take a spin at our prize wheel for a chance to win a free copy of author Ken Rohlfs newest children's book "Best Friends", gift cards, glow‑in‑the‑dark frisbees, and other fun surprises throughout the day.

Even more meaningful, come meet our team and pick up information for yourself, your family, or someone you know who may need support. 💙

If you are a St. Paul organization, we would love for you to stop by and grab materials to share with your clients and community members who could benefit from our services such as our renowned youth and family camps, anticipatory support program, bereaved parent program, and our newest program, Growing Through Grief, benefiting school districts across the state.

It is a beautiful day to be in community, and we cannot wait to connect with you!

There are moments when someone we miss becomes a quiet gift to others, and this is one of those moments. 💙

Next month, more than 90 grieving children and teens will arrive at Camp Erin Minnesota for a day of connection, comfort, and healing. Every child attends at no cost, yet Brighter Days invests more than $20,000 to make this experience possible.

At our recent Run and Walk to Remember, participants sponsored campers in honor of someone they love. Each heart carried the name of a child, and each donor wrote the name of their loved one on the heart they chose. It was a tender and powerful reminder that love continues on.

If you feel called to honor your loved one this weekend, we welcome you to donate in their memory to ensure that every camper's cost is covered. A gift of $100 sponsors their full day at camp, or a gift of $50 provides their meals and camp supplies.

To participate, write your loved ones name in the comments section and donate online at https://www.brighterdaysgriefcenter.org

We are deeply grateful for each of you who continue to lift up our beautiful mission. Special thanks to Eluna, our national partner, who chose us as the Minnesota host for this incredible experience.💙

What a beautiful day it was! We were truly honored to have so many of you join us for the 8th Annual Run/Walk to Remember on Saturday. The sunshine, the heartfelt conversations, and the love shared in honor of your people made the morning unforgettable.

Special thanks to FotoGenic Photo Booth and Shelly Oie for capturing the spirit of the day so beautifully.

If you were not able to give during the event and would still like to make a gift in honor of your loved one, your support would mean so much to the grieving children, teens, and adults we serve. You can donate anytime at https://brighterdaysgriefcenter.org/

Thank you for helping us bring hope and healing to families who need it most. ❤

GREAT NEWS! We are thrilled to share that we were voted as one of the winning charities for the “Choose Your Charity” Campaign. Thank you to Old National Bank for such an incredible opportunity to share our mission and to everyone who cast their votes for Brighter Days as a trusted nonprofit in their community. We are truly grateful for your belief in what we do for grieving youth, adults, and families across the state.

The gifted funds will directly support Growing Through Grief, our newest initiative that provides Minnesota schools with tailored training and guidance from our dedicated care team, helping districts create stronger, more supportive environments for grieving students, staff, and families.

If your district would like to start the next academic year feeling informed and prepared, with a statewide grief center standing by your side, we would love to hear from you. 💙
