What a parent fighting to stay in their child’s life really looks like…

✅ Calls unanswered
✅ Messages ignored
✅ Shows up anyway
✅ Never misses court
✅ Keeps every receipt
✅ Pays support
✅ Sends birthday gifts
✅ Saves every photo
✅ Refuses to give up

And somehow…

💔 Gets called the “deadbeat.”

Most people only see the outcome.
They don’t see the phone calls.
They don’t see the court dates.
They don’t see the tears after another missed visit.
They don’t see the parent sitting in a parking lot hoping for one more minute with their child.

To every parent fighting to remain present in their child’s life:

Keep showing up.
Your child may not understand today, but one day they will see who never stopped trying.

❤️ Healing begins when silence ends.

I was 12. I was surrounded with drugs guns violence prostitution and crime I had to learn to make money being a criminal very early .. and the devil was tryna ruin me! We were living in Beaverdam, Virginia. My dad had married this Spanish lady. He was going through withdrawals and he met her at the hospital. She was a nurse we moved in with her. My dad was selling a lot of guns. We had a shooting range in the country a lot of drug dealers and different gangsters would come from different places to shoot guns and buy guns and sell drugs to my dad. This was on a field trip with Beaverdam Elementary school. lol
This is the age I started smoking and selling crack and other drugs I was addicted to opiates..
This is the age I lost my virginity to a woman 4X my age.
The same year I attempted to end my life for the first time.
The same year I got shot at by my own dad.
The same year I caught my first charge.
The same year I did my first bid in juvy.
During this time of my life, Satan tried to plant so many evil seeds in me and he did get me all twisted up but before we moved back to Richmond , a man from Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Hanover Virginia pulled me down out of the noose I was about to hang from and was put on the back of a Harley Davidson by big Tim and taken to a mega church called the Richmond outreach center the ROC in the south side of Richmond, Virginia, I know some of y’all remember that amazing church !!! man God planted so many seeds in me in that place it was such a blessing. I didn’t realize it. It was called house of Timothy. They also had the house of Paul in the house of David…. I was in there with a bunch of grown men. It was a house just like the one I live in today 😂😂😂 I was just a kid I’ve been there man. My life was crazy. Looking back but I got kicked out of there for bringing n seAndrew Delgadoills to the guys and fighting with Pastor Arson.. Andrew Delgado knows haha I lived there again a few months when I was 18 after I got out of jail when and I signed myself out of foster care but didn’t stay .. God did a mighty work through that ministry. The crime rate even changed in the city during that time… it’s amazing what God can do to people. I hear that building is a huge casino on the turnpike now…. Sad…

Anyway man I just see how all those seeds from both sides were planted in the soil of my heart and I see the ones that endured are Gods! His word!

No matter what you’ve been through, you can be healed and God’s word does not return to him void. I’m so thankful God never stopped pursuing me.

Keep planting good seeds in your children because they’re gonna grow! Man, it’s just crazy walking with the Lord and seeing things differently now in the Spirit

Absolutely — here’s a strong encouraging Facebook post:

---

Initial investment: $0
Parts: $0
Labor: Me, a little faith, and a vision.

Some people see junk.
Some people see old, broken, dirty, or not worth the time.

But when you’ve been through enough in life, you learn something powerful:

Everything that looks finished isn’t finished.
Sometimes it just needs the right hands, the right patience, and somebody willing to believe in what it can become.

This mower was a reminder to me today — you don’t always need money to start. Sometimes you just need vision, work ethic, and the willingness to get dirty.

A vision always sees value before everybody else does.

Don’t let where you’re starting from discourage you. Start with what you have. Use what’s in your hands. Clean it up. Fix what you can. Keep moving.

Because sometimes the thing people overlooked becomes the thing that proves you were never crazy — you were just seeing it before they did.

God is still in the restoration business.
