Free breakfast and lunch will be available again this summer for children 18 and younger through Meet Up and Eat Up! Meals will be available at two district locations and must be eaten on site:

🍎 Forest Park Elementary, Monday-Thursday, June 22-July 23
🍎Breakfast 8-9am, Lunch 11am-12:30pm

🥗 Eastpointe High School, June 15-July 23
🥗 Breakfast 8-9am, Lunch 10:30am-12pm

When young people have more time, less supervision, and easy access to alcohol, medications, or fi****ms, the dangers increase. That’s why this is the perfect time for parents and caregivers to step up their prevention efforts.

🧠 May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it’s the perfect time to talk about how mental wellness, substance use, and safety are all connected.

Teens and adults alike face pressure, stress, and emotional ups and downs. When substances are available—and fi****ms are accessible—those tough moments can quickly become dangerous.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, and it’s a reminder that youth alcohol use often starts at home.

Did you know?
🔹 Teens say their #1 source of alcohol is from their own house or a friend’s
🔹 Kids who begin drinking before age 15 are 5x more likely to struggle with alcohol later
🔹 Unsecured alcohol can be just as dangerous as unlocked medications or fi****ms

Let’s protect our youth by locking up alcohol, having honest talks, and setting clear expectations. You are their first line of prevention-and your voice matters.
