๐Ÿ’œ September is National Recovery Month! ๐Ÿ’œ

Recovery is possible, and every personโ€™s journey looks different.

National Recovery Month is an opportunity to celebrate the strength, resilience, and accomplishments of people in recovery- and to recognize the families, friends, professionals, and communities who support them along the way.

Recovery doesnโ€™t always happen in a straight line. It can take courage to ask for help, take the next step, or start again. Every step forward matters.

This month, letโ€™s work together to:
๐Ÿ’œ Reduce the stigma surrounding substance use and recovery
๐Ÿ’œ Encourage people to reach out for support
๐Ÿ’œ Celebrate recovery and the many paths it can take
๐Ÿ’œ Build communities where everyone feels supported and valued

Recovery is real. Hope is real. Support makes a difference.

Smoke from wildfires has created unhealthy air quality across Michigan. Even if you donโ€™t have a medical condition, the smoky air can irritate your eyes, throat, and lungs.

Please take steps to protect yourself and your loved ones:
๐Ÿ  Stay indoors when possible.
๐Ÿšช Keep windows and doors closed.
โ„๏ธ Run your air conditioner on Auto with a clean filter.
๐Ÿ˜ท Wear a well-fitting N95 mask if you must be outdoors.
๐Ÿ’™ Check on seniors, children, and neighbors with asthma, heart disease, or other respiratory conditions.

Together, we can help keep our community safe and healthy.

Breathe Smart. Stay Safe.

Presented by the Eastpointe Community Action Coalition, supporting the residents of Eastpointe and surrounding communities by promoting a safe, healthy, and substance-free environment.

๐ŸŽ† As we celebrate freedom this July, letโ€™s also talk about responsibility.
True freedom means making smart choices and protecting those we love. That means:

๐Ÿ” Locking up fi****ms when guests or children are around
๐Ÿšซ Keeping alcohol and cannabis secured during summer parties
๐Ÿ’ฌ Talking with kids about staying safe, even when youโ€™re not there

Our freedoms come with the responsibility to protectโ€”and prevention starts at home.

Happy 250 years America! ๐ŸŽ†
Have a wonderful weekend, stay safe and hydrated!
