☀️ Summer break brings freedom, but also new risks for teens.

When young people have more time, less supervision, and easy access to alcohol, medications, or fi****ms, the dangers increase. That’s why this is the perfect time for parents and caregivers to step up their prevention efforts.

🏡 Lock up alcohol, cannabis, vapes, and prescription meds
🔐 Store fi****ms securely-unloaded, locked, and out of reach
🧠 Talk to your kids about peer pressure, social media, and healthy choices
👀 Stay connected, even when schedules get busy

Let’s make this summer memorable for the right reasons.

🧠 May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and it’s the perfect time to talk about how mental wellness, substance use, and safety are all connected.

Teens and adults alike face pressure, stress, and emotional ups and downs. When substances are available—and fi****ms are accessible—those tough moments can quickly become dangerous.

Let’s support each other by:
💚 Checking in on mental health regularly
🔐 Locking up substances and fi****ms to reduce risk
💬 Creating space for open, judgment-free conversations

There is strength in prevention—and even more in compassion.

April is Alcohol Awareness Month, and it’s a reminder that youth alcohol use often starts at home.

Did you know?
🔹 Teens say their #1 source of alcohol is from their own house or a friend’s
🔹 Kids who begin drinking before age 15 are 5x more likely to struggle with alcohol later
🔹 Unsecured alcohol can be just as dangerous as unlocked medications or fi****ms

Let’s protect our youth by locking up alcohol, having honest talks, and setting clear expectations. You are their first line of prevention-and your voice matters.
Join ECAC as we raise awareness and take action this month. 💬

🎉 A new year brings new opportunities to make a difference-starting right at home.

In 2025, let’s commit to keeping our families safe by taking simple steps:
🔐 Lock up prescription medications, alcohol, and cannabis
🔫 Store fi****ms unloaded and locked, with ammunition stored separately
🗣️ Talk to your kids regularly about healthy choices and peer pressure

These steps don’t just prevent accidents-they save lives. Whether you're a parent, caregiver, or community leader, you play a vital role in creating a substance-free, safe environment in Eastpointe.

Let’s start the year strong—together. 💙
