At this week’s East Ridge Optimist Club meeting, we were proud to recognize Gieselle Fuentes as this year’s East Ridge High School Scholarship Recipient. Congratulations, Gieselle — your hard work and dedication shine.

We also extend a heartfelt thank‑you to club member Rana Clark for joining us as guest speaker and sharing her advocacy for Disabled Veterans. Her commitment to service is inspiring.

We had a wonderful meeting as we officially welcomed Steve and Patsy Evans as the newest members of the East Ridge Optimist Club. We’re excited to have them join our mission of bringing out the best in kids and strengthening our community.

We also enjoyed hearing from our guest speaker, Karina Butterfield, who shared helpful insights on elder adult health, movement, and staying active as we age. A great reminder that optimism includes caring for every stage of life.
