On Halloween, children are two times more likely to be involved in a pedestrian-vehicle incident than any other day of the year.

⏰ Fall Back! Daylight Saving Time Ends November 1

Turn Your Clocks Back One Hour — But Keep Your Safety Awareness Moving Forward! Daylight Saving Time ends at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2026. While we gain an extra hour, the shift means darkness will arrive earlier during the evening commute.

Share these Tips for Safer Driving After Dark:
• Adjust to the darkness. Reduce your speed and increase following distance.
• Stay alert. Changes in sleep schedules can affect concentration and reaction time.
• Check your headlights. Make sure headlights, taillights, and turn signals are clean and working properly.
• Watch for pedestrians and bicyclists. They may be harder to see during evening commutes.
• Be deer aware. Fall is a peak season for deer movement, especially around dawn and dusk.
• Give yourself extra time. Allow for changing light conditions, weather, and increased traffic.

This message is shared from our friends at the Minnesota Safety Council and Minnesota NETS.

It's Halloween week! 🎃

Parents, remind yourselves that some costumes — similar to puffy coats — have excess material and can prevent a car seat from keeping your child SAFE in a crash.

Don't risk it — change them into their costumes at your destination. 🦄✔️

Thank you to Your QFM for having us on today to talk about infant safe sleep. October is National Safe Sleep Awareness Month and keeping babies safe while they sleep is the topic of today's interview with Josh.

For parents, grandparents, childcare providers, and everybody who takes care of babies, remember your ABC's of Safe Sleep:

A - Alone. Baby should be alone in their crib. No soft items such as blankets, stuffed animals, or bumpers.

B - Back. Place baby flat on their back for every sleep, every time. Don't let baby sleep on any inclined surface like baby swings, bouncers, or car seat that are outside of the car.

C - Crib. Baby needs their own safe sleep environment in an approved crib.
