Stop by Safe Kids Heatstroke Display at the Grand Forks Fair right by the office! It's heating up already, and it's still early in the day!
Remember to never leave a child in the car, even for a minute. Quick trips are often longer than you expected them to be.
Also, when you park your car, lock it up and put the keys up and away and out of sight. Kids are naturally curious and will want to get into car and may become trapped.

Safe sleep is hard. . . . . but so important to making sure that every child is placed to sleep safely.

This podcast is a wonderful educational piece that shares information from a physician, but also a father who lost his child to an unsafe sleep environment. It is well worth the watch if you are an expecting parent, a new parent or a grandparent or caregiver for children most at risk for sudden unexpected infant death (those under 1 year of age).

Twenty-nine students learned how to be Smart Sitters on Monday! Thank you to Miss Heather from Chatty Learners for teaching these kids valuable skills from starting up a babysitting business, diapering, feeding, and soothing a baby to basic CPR and First Aid skills.

Things are heating up over at Hugo's Family Marketplace on 32nd Ave. S! Just because the temperature is comfortable outside doesn't mean that kids are safe inside of the vehicle.

We just learned some exciting news. . . . A local resident at Altru Health System has her young child in a photo competition for “Toddler of the Year”. The child is currently in 2nd place they are planning to donate their prize money to Safe Kids Grand Forks. Here are some details. Set your phone alarm for a daily reminder to get on-line and vote. Here are the details:

Spencer is competing in Hasbro's Toddler of the Year competition (currently 2nd in his group). You can vote for free daily. Feel free to share! We chose to donate the winnings to Safe Kids Grand Forks, so if you want to share with your mom and get her and her friends voting as well!!!
