March 2026 marked the Foundations of East Chicago’s (FEC) 29th Scholarship award distribution! Awards were given to 79 students from East Chicago, collectively receiving over $2 million in scholarships!! 🤩🥳

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana, East Chicago location, is currently offering a program entitled “East Chicago Boys & Girls Club BAND PROGRAM,” funded through a grant from Foundations of East Chicago.

This program provides local club members with hands-on-music education, giving participants the opportunity to develop their musical talents, build confidence, and experience the joy of performance.

Foundations of East Chicago believes deeply in the importance of education for students in East Chicago.

Providing students with the support they need is especially critical during the summer, when many children are at greater risk of falling behind academically.

To help address this need, FEC has awarded a grant to Communities In Schools - Lake County to provide programming and support for students in East Chicago.

FEC has been a long time supporter of The Salvation Army East Chicago Corps Community Center and Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.

The Food Pantry program plays a vital role in ensuring that individuals and families have consistent access to essential items including nutritious food, fresh produce, and hygiene products.

The Food Pantry at The Salvation Army East Chicago Corps Community Center is open Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Visitors are kindly asked to bring their own bags when picking up items.

Hot meals are served from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
