💪 From spraying shotcrete to rock drilling, LIUNA Laborers' Local 472 members are hard at work building the Gateway Tunnel in North Bergen, NJ, continuing to prep the site for tunneling.

Vice President and LiUNA Eastern Region Manager Mike Hellstrom and Laborers' Health & Safety Fund of North America New Jersey dropped by to see the progress on the site and for a safety toolbox talk, too.

🎥 City of Jersey City workers deserve fair pay for their labor.

LIUNA and Katz Banks Kumin LLP filed a landmark lawsuit against AJD Construction and subcontractor Concrete Rising, seeking more than $2 million in unpaid wages and liquidated damages on behalf of construction workers who helped build two major Jersey City developments but were never paid for weeks of their work.

The lawsuit marks the first known action filed by a labor union under New Jersey's up-the-chain liability statute, a groundbreaking law designed to ensure that workers can recover wages even when their direct employer is unable or unwilling to pay.

Thank you to Mayor James Solomon and Hudcofb Craig Guy for standing with workers.
