Duane Sheriff is an author, apostolic teacher, conference speaker, and host of the Grace and Truth broadcast. He is the founding pastor of Victory Life Church, headquartered in Durant, Oklahoma. Victory Life has grown into a multi-campus church in Oklahoma, Texas, and Colorado. In 2020, Duane passed the leadership of Victory Life Church to his son, Jacob, and currently serves as a Senior Elder and

one of the lead communicators. Duane Sheriff was one of the first pastors to distribute his teaching messages free of charge. Since 1983, Duane Sheriff Ministries has given away millions of teaching messages, ensuring everyone can access the Word of God. Duane lives by his life mission to help people grow in Christ. His humor and unique revelation of scripture present the Gospel with clarity and simplicity. His passion for sharing the truth of God’s word helps people develop a personal relationship with Jesus as they discover their true identity to become all God created them to be. Recognize that your reverence for God empowers you to say no to temptation and yes to righteousness. When you honor God above temporary pleasures or cultural pressures, you demonstrate true understanding. This holy fear becomes your shield against compromise and your motivation for holiness. Let your reverence for God be greater than your attraction to sin.

Your DNA—both physical and spiritual—carries the fingerprints of His intentional design. Instead of comparing yourself to others, ask God to reveal what He wrote in your book before the foundation of the world. Your purpose isn't found in imitation but in discovering the original design God crafted specifically for you.

God calls us to be strong and courageous, not fearless. True courage is acting on your convictions despite fear, doing the right thing no matter the consequences. Fearing God delivers you from the fear of man.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

We need to spend time with God, maintain our personal relationship with the Lord, and make sure we're not getting yoked to something that isn't from God.
Being yoked to the world brings death. You're going to crumble. You're going to crash and burn.
You weren't designed and created to carry most of the things we carry in our hearts.
Jesus said his yoke is easy.
His burden is light.
We need to take God's word, look at Jesus' life, and draw on it to overcome as he overcame. If you're experiencing spiritual exhaustion, you've picked up something He didn't give you. Identify what you're carrying that isn't from Jesus. Release it. Learn from His meekness and lowliness, and discover the rest your soul desperately needs.
