As we reflect on this year's Back to School Bash, our hearts are filled with gratitude.
Because of an amazing community that believes in our youth, we were able to serve more than 500 students by providing backpacks, school supplies, and valuable community resources to help them begin the school year with confidence.

To our sponsors, community partners, volunteers, and every individual who gave their time, talents, and resources, thank you. Your generosity is a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

We want to offer a special thank you to the Bryan County Turning Point Coalition officers and members. Your dedication extends far beyond event day. From months of planning and preparation to the countless hours spent working behind the scenes, setting up, welcoming families, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring every detail came together, your servant leadership made this event possible. Your commitment to the children and families of Bryan County is inspiring, and we are deeply grateful for each of you.

The Back to School Bash is about more than backpacks and school supplies. It's about showing our children and families that they are supported, valued, and surrounded by a community that cares about their future.

Tomorrow is the DAY!! Come on in and hang out with us from 9am-12pm at the Donald W. Reynolds Library!

We are exactly ONE WEEK away from our Annual Back to School Bash!
This event is 100% free, no purchases necessary (unless you’re hitting up the library’s concession stand).
While we prefer for your kiddos to be with you (so they can choose their own backpack), we also understand that things happen and sometimes schedules don’t line up (or kiddos don’t want to get up that early), either way come join the fun and gear up for some awesome stuff ❤️

We want to give a special thank you to the Donald W. Reynolds Library and the Friends of the Library for their continued support of the Bryan County Turning Point Coalition’s Annual Back to School Bash!

Not only did they generously provide shirts for our event vendors, but they also graciously open their doors and host our event each year. Their support helps bring our community together and creates a welcoming space for families, vendors, and partners to connect.

The last day to purchase school supplies from our Amazon Wishlist is Tuesday, July 21, 2026, to ensure all items arrive in time for our Back to School Bash!

If you prefer to shop in person, we would love your support! Please drop off all donated school supplies at Big Five Community Services no later than Monday, July 27, 2026.

Every notebook, backpack, and box of crayons helps us make sure local students head back to school prepared and confident.

🍧🎉 Calling All Local Snow Cone Vendors & Bounce House Businesses!🎉🍧

Do you want to help make a child's day while giving back to our community?

The Bryan County Turning Point Coalition is looking for a local snow cone vendor and/or bounce house company that would be willing to donate their time and services for our 2026 Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 1st, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM at the Donald W. Reynolds Library in Durant.

This event serves hundreds of Bryan County children and families each year by providing free backpacks, school supplies, and community resources to help students start the school year off right.

A cool snow cone on a hot summer day or a fun bounce house can turn a great event into an unforgettable one for the kids we serve. 💙
