We experienced another successful morning of service to those in need. In cooperation with Sleep In Heavenly Peace we delivered and assembled 4 beds in the local homes for children who were sleeping on the floor. No Child Sleeps On The Floor In Our Town!! The reward is the bright smiles that these children and parents provide.

The Duncanville Noon Lions Club presented a check for $3,000 to the Southwest Dallas Area Retired School Employees organization to assist in their Literacy Program. This is the 3rd consecutive year that the Lions have provided such a donation. SW-DARSE provideS a Little Golden Book to each Kindergarten student in the Duncanville, DeSoto and Cedar Hill school districts each year. Childhood Literacy is one of our major areas of service.

Relieving any Stress on a Friday at the Duncanville Noon Lions Club meeting. We heard about the activities at the Duncanville Fieldhouse from Craig Brasfield - General Manager. How they also collaborate with the City of Duncanville Recreation Center (Baron Brasfield - Manager) in meeting the needs of visiting sports organizations. Former Mayor Lion Barry Gordon talked about the upcoming National Day of Prayer on May 7th at the Recreation Center.
Lion Bob Jones presented a check to donate to the Texas Lions Camp. He has raised $2,000 thus far with a goal of $7,000 this year.
We were well protected with the presence of Duncanville Police & Fire. 😀
