Haven of Love Haven Of Love is a faith-based 501(c)3 organization. Our Mission is to bring healing and restoration. It is especially difficult for them.

Women that have lived such a life style as prostitution and drug addiction face an uphill battle starting a new life. Most come from families where abuse of some kind was common and they know no other way to live. The Haven Of Love started within a home with a support group that mentored women from this life style, as well as taught co-dependency classes with these ladies. Bible study, with the word of God as the foundation, was an integral part of their support.

Twice in one day, two people recognized Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzot and stopped him to share what had happened since he last saw them.

One woman surprised him from behind a car to tell him she had been clean for years and had rebuilt her life.

Later, a man approached him in a 7-Eleven. The last time he had been in trouble was in 2008. Now he had a home, a car, a job, and children who were doing well.

These are the stories that remind us change is possible.

People who once cycled repeatedly through the justice system can become present parents, mentors, college graduates, and leaders in their communities when accountability is joined with real opportunities to rebuild.

At the Haven of Love, we believe every life holds the potential for a different future. đź’ś

STEP 10 at the Resource Center

Recovery is an ongoing process. It takes a daily willingness to pause, examine our choices and honestly acknowledge when we have been wrong.

Growth does not mean we never make mistakes. It means we become quicker to recognize them, take responsibility without excuses and make things right whenever we can.

Honesty today can keep yesterday’s mistakes from becoming tomorrow’s patterns. 💜

“Many people in the criminal justice system were victims themselves long before they became defendants.”

Some grew up surrounded by violence, addiction, neglect, poverty, abuse, or trauma. For many, there was never a healthy foundation to return to or restore.

That history does not excuse criminal behavior, but accountability and compassion do not have to be mutually exclusive.

We can hold people responsible for their choices while still believing they are capable of change. We can acknowledge the harm that was done while also creating a pathway forward after a debt has been paid.

At the Haven of Love, women are given a safe place to confront old patterns, heal from trauma, accept responsibility, and begin building a foundation for a different life. đź’ś

A little friendly competition, plenty of encouragement and time spent together on a 5th Tuesday reminds us that joy has a place in the healing process too. 🎳

“May my prayer be set before You like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.” Psalm 141:2

Worship is not reserved for Sunday morning, a church building, or the moments when life feels easy.

Day and night, in celebration and in struggle, we can turn our hearts toward God.

Our prayers rise.
Our praise rises.
Our worship rises.

Today, let the noise settle and your attention return to the One who is worthy of it all.

Day and night, night and day, let incense arise. đź’ś

Next Saturday we will be blessed by the teaching of Dr. Wayland Henderson and we hope YOU are planning to be at the with us!

Dr. Wayland Henderson author of "Walking With God: Repairing The Breach & Restoring The Ancient Path of Discipleship" addresses the importance of intimate discipleship and its necessity to see a mature body of believers walk as Jesus walk not only in miracle, signs, and wonders but manifesting His character.

The book is meant to unveil the ancient path of walking in His ways for the purpose of seeing believers equipped to move as ambassadors of Christ and witnesses of His resurrection for the coming Harvest.

Invite and friend and don't miss the Edifice Gathering, it will be memorable! https://www.facebook.com/share/1DUfVKtKt5/

It is okay to admit when you feel anxious. Anxiety is a human response, not a spiritual failure. God does not shame us for our worries. He invites us to bring them to Him, one thought, one fear and one moment at a time.

You are cared for, and you do not have to carry it alone. đź’ś

Pastor Onterio says he started with a “drug mom” and ended with a “drug mom.”

After God transformed Karen’s life, she began dragging her son by the ear to church. Second row from the front. Second seat from the end. There before the sun came up and still there when it went down.

Then, six months later, Onterio gave his life to Jesus and started dragging her to church.

What began with one mother’s decision to follow Christ reached her son, her grandchildren, and countless lives through the Haven of Love.

Never underestimate what God can do through one changed life and one faithful mama who refuses to stop praying. đź’ś
