A New Season of Disciple-Making 🌱
We’re praising God for a new session of Fundamentals of Disciple-Making beginning September 17!
This free, six-week online experience introduces participants to the disciple-making principles Jesus used with His disciples—practical methods and a model that helped launch the early Church with power and purpose and carry the gospel to the nations.
Whether you are new to disciple-making or ready for your next step, we invite you to join us.
And there’s more! Online disciple-making groups will soon launch for those who complete Fundamentals—as well as those who have attended previously—and want to keep growing together in community.
May God use this fall season to fuel the mission, strengthen His Church, and raise up more disciples who faithfully make disciples.

There’s a difference between learning about Jesus and actually learning to follow Him. Mirroring the Master invites us to do the latter.
As one reader shared, “Mirroring the Master is not a theoretical book about disciple-making—it is a lived one. You can tell from the first pages that this book was shaped by real relationships, real ministry, and real obedience to Jesus’ command to make disciples…”
📖 If you’re passionate about following Jesus and making disciples, Mirroring the Master is a great resource to add to your reading list.

What a beautiful weekend of equipping and encouragement!
Narrow Gate co-founder, Paula Lohnes, had the opportunity to lead a women’s event at Bethel Church in Dawsonville, teaching on practical principles of disciple-making and what it looks like to follow Jesus and help others do the same.
Even more meaningful—this event was held at the church of a Co-Mission Institute graduate who is now serving as one of our leaders in the institute. We love seeing the ripple effect of disciple-making: lives transformed, leaders equipped, and churches multiplying disciples.
What an encouragement to see the mission continuing in new places and through new leaders! One Mission. Many Fronts. 🙌

Today marks the beginning of a new journey.
We are excited to welcome our newest Co-Mission Institute Cohort for orientation day today! It's always encouraging to see pastors and ministry leaders from different backgrounds come together with one shared desire: to grow as disciple-makers who multiply disciples, leaders, and healthy churches.
Over the coming months, these leaders will be challenged, equipped, and encouraged as they deepen their walk with Christ and learn practical ways to make disciple-making the foundation of their ministry.
Join us in praying for this cohort as they begin the journey. We can't wait to see all that God will do in and through them.

✨ Staff Spotlight: Meet Our Executive Director ✨
Behind every ministry is a team of people committed to seeing lives transformed through the gospel. Today, we're excited to highlight our Executive Director, Rev. Mark Danzey.
Driven by a passion to make disciples who make disciples, Mark leads Narrow Gate with a heart for equipping pastors, leaders, and churches to multiply healthy disciple-making movements. His leadership is rooted in the belief that lasting kingdom impact happens when ordinary believers are empowered to faithfully follow Jesus and help others do the same.
Whether he's investing in pastors through the Co-Mission Institute, encouraging ministry leaders, or helping shape the vision of Narrow Gate, Mark is committed to seeing the Church thrive through biblical disciple-making.
A few quick questions about Mark:
📚 A book that's impacted your leadership: “So many! Death by Meeting by Patrick Lencioni and The 4 Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and Janet Mills. I’ve gotten a lot from both.
đź’¬ What excites you most about Narrow Gate's mission?
“Witnessing the sense of purpose come alive, or come into clarity, for people that truly want to live out God’s calling in their life, but they seem to be stuck or vague on what to do next. In the work that we do at Narrow Gate, we see people become fruitful and clear on what to do next, and it’s exciting to watch. Our work also translates across the world. We’re seeing people all over the world, in lots of different contexts, truly find God’s purpose for their lives. I love being around intentional and purposeful people like that.”
✨ What is the most important lesson you’ve learned about disciple-making?
Patience and persistence.
We're grateful for your leadership, vision, and faithful service to the Kingdom.
Help us show Mark some appreciation in the comments! 👏

Disciple-Making to the 4th Generation
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others." (2 Timothy 2:2)
Paul modeled Jesus’ ways by instructing Timothy to pass on the truth to faithful people who would also teach others. There are four generations of spiritual investment in one verse: Paul → Timothy → Faithful People → Others

Who is your Paul? Who is pouring into you?
Who is your Barnabas? Who is walking beside you?
And who are your Timothys? Who are you pouring into?

The Apprentice of Jesus curriculum can help you do just that. https://apprenticeofjesus.com/

Multiplication Was Always Jesus’ Plan
When Jesus entered the world, He could have chosen many ways to spread His message. Instead, He invested deeply in a few ordinary people. He walked dusty roads with twelve ordinary people. He walked with them, taught them, prayed with them, and invited them into His life. Jesus wasn't simply gathering followers; He was forming disciple-makers.
The Kingdom of God grows through multiplication, not merely addition.
Addition says: How many people can I reach?
Multiplication asks: Who can I invest in who will invest in others?

Before ascending to heaven, Jesus gave His disciples a clear mission: "Go and make disciples of all nations..." (Matthew 28:19-20) Disciple-making was never intended to stop with us. God's plan has always been multiplication through relationships.

Multiplication rarely feels dramatic. More often, it looks like conversations over coffee, shared meals, prayer, Scripture, and walking alongside another person. Jesus changed the world through ordinary relationships surrendered to an extraordinary God.
