Project Linus Volunteers- Thank you for your past support! I know many of you prefer gardening to sewing in the summer, but here's an easy project for when it's too hot or too wet:

We have had a request for pillowcases to brighten a child's hospital stay. The burrito-style pattern is cute and easy, with a main fabric, contrasting cuff, and optional trim. Directions are easy to find on the Internet. You can use your own fabric, or I can help you get reimbursed for purchased fabric. You can drop off finished pillowcases at our usual dropoff locations. I am happy to tell you that Project Linus Duluth Superior Area has a new blanket drop-off location in the mall area! Sew With Me has graciously agreed to provide a bin, and I will pick up the blankets and distribute them. As always, you can also drop blankets at Stitchcraft Quilt Factory in Lakeside, Creations Quilt Shop in Lincoln Park, or at my house, message me for the address. Thank you to our drop-off hosts!

Project Linus Duluth Superior has had a busy week! These are some of the blankets we received, thanks to a service sorority at St Scholastica, we also delivered 180 blanketsvto community partners. Thank you to our creative and generous volunteers!

I don't post often enough about our Project Linus work, but I am proud to share that our chapter sent 40+ blankets to Hurricane Helene Relief in North Carolina. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we were able to send quilts, afghans, and fleece blankets in sizes ranging from baby to teen. Even with the discounted shipping rate from UPS, it was an expensive process. If you would like to contribute to this worthy cause, go to ProjectLinus.org and look for the donation button.
