Resurrecting Lives Foundation

Resurrecting Lives Foundation Our mission at RLF is to coordinate and advocate for the successful transition to a post-military career and life for Veterans with traumatic brain injury.

Visit: https://secure.givelively.org/donate/resurrecting-lives-foundation Over 2.2 million service personnel have been deployed to the war zone in Iraq and Afghanistan – many with multiple deployments. The hallmark injury is Traumatic Brain Injury or TBI. This condition is difficult to both diagnose and treat because the specialists are not frequently found in the Veterans Administration. It is es

timated that only 36% of the veterans returning from the Iraq & Afghanistan wars actually receive treatment through the Veterans Administration, although all are eligible. In addition, newer brain technology is revealing the pathology involved with the development of Post Traumatic Stress (PTS). These neurologic and mental health issues are complex to treat, and, in the civilian world, they are handled by rehabilitation teams consisting of physical medicine specialists, neurologists, psychologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and social workers. Unfortunately, due to cost constraints and logistics, TBI teams are not found in the vast majority of VA centers and out patient clinics. Resurrecting Lives Foundation assists in the recovery and reintegration of our OIF/OEF Veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) by defining the brain pathology and by developing the protocols for recovery. We advocate for our returning heroes and their families while educating the public about the co-morbidities associated with a traumatic brain injury. RLF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and all donations are tax-deductible. Please contact us and see how you can continue this important mission and support those suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

Guarding Our Guardians:
The Call to Action Gains Wings at the Book Launch

It was fitting to officially launch our book on the steps of the Dick Laub NTC Command Center, Arts District Liberty Station - May 20, 2026.

On this date in history, 1927, Charles Lindbergh began his historic solo, nonstop flight to Paris. With that energy and the San Diego proclamation of
“GUARDING Our Guardians Day” we gave our mission... WINGS.

We were honored by the presence of Medal of Honor and Navy Cross recipient, USN Aviator Captain Royce Williams, as well as the Naval Training Center’s own Tom Crosby.
We wish to thank all those who attended our ceremony.

"Guarding Our Guardians" Book Debut & Signing at Liberty Station

Resurrecting Lives Foundation launched “Guarding Our Guardians: Guaranteeing America’s Veterans a Future from Deployment to Employment” on May 20, 2026, at Liberty Station.

RLF officially unveils the powerful new Book. The manuscript is a powerful CALL TO ACTION for the civilian world to actively participate in the future of our nation’s veterans. The event took place at the front steps of the Liberty Station Command Center, at 2640 Historic Decatur Rd, San Diego, CA 92106.

Authored by Resurrecting Lives Foundation Founder Chrisanne Gordon, MD with Ezra Byer, in collaboration with Advantage Books, formerly FORBES, “Guarding Our Guardians” is more than a book; it is a call-to-action requesting community leaders, employers, healthcare systems and citizens across the country to unite in providing a smoother transition while securing a stronger, more supported future for the men and women who have served. Dr. Gordon specializes in coordinating medical care for Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), the signature wound of the Global War on Terror (GWOT) and has been collaborating for su***de prevention since Veterans Day 2021, with retired USN Chief, Joe Pisano of PISANO Artistry at Liberty Station.
