A few weeks ago, one of our evaluators slipped this phrase into his evaluation, and the whole room lit up. We're still talking about it. That's Toastmasters for you: you come for the speaking practice and leave with a vocabulary upgrade.

Today's challenge: Use "exasperated pluckiness" in a real conversation. Try it on the coworker fighting the printer or you spouse at 6 AM before coffee. ☕

Lilliana came to visit our club for the first time this morning and she was brave enough to speak during Table Topics. She was a natural, she spoke within the time limit, used the word of the day, and won the ribbon!

🏆 We did it! Lone Peak Toastmasters is a SMEDLEY DISTINGUISHED CLUB for 2025-2026! 💙💛

This is the top honor a Toastmasters club can earn, and it was just created last year. We earned it the very first year it was offered.

To get here, our club had to:
✅ Hit all 10 Distinguished Club Program goals
✅ Grow to 25+ members
✅ Keep members advancing through their Pathways speaking and leadership levels
✅ Train our officers and stay on top of the details

What it really means: our members show up for each other. New folks feel welcome, speakers keep growing, and everyone pitches in.

THANK YOU to every member who gave a speech, took a role, evaluated a speaker, or brought a friend. This ribbon is yours. 🙌
