Thank you to all that helped, especially Matt Teoli and the Jamboree contingent, for making our Flag Retirement ceremony a success. We lost count, but it is safe to say that there were more than three thousand flags from small index card sizes to ones larger than 8'x12', and everything in between. Special story of the day: a wonderful woman with her daughter brought her husband's (a veteran of the Korean War) memorial flag to be properly folded in order that it would go into a display that honored his service.

Shout to our great Roundtable Commissioners for the topics and hands on activities at last evening’s Roundtable. If you were there you saw the first installment of dutch oven cooking, be sure to come back for the next installment. Reminder, we won’t meet in July; however Roundtable is the second Tuesday of each month at 7pm at the Milford Police Station. Hope to see you at our next meeting, August 11.

Join us on June 14th, Flag Day, at Akridge Scout Reservation for a community flag retirement event. We encourage you and your Units to collect worn and used flags and invite the community to drop them off at the event. Be sure to spread the word and invite the community to participate in this service opportunity.

At our recent District Recognition Event, we celebrated our 2025 Eagle Scouts. Congratulations to all!

Congratulations to Chris Huebler and John Murray on receiving the Coastal District Award of Merit. In addition to Chris and John, over fifty other Scouters and Units received over seventy awards and recognition at the Coastal District Dinner. Thank you to all in attendance and congratulations to all that received the various recognition. Looking forward to continuing to spotlight and recognize all the wonderful volunteers that make up the Coastal District.
