One of the truly inspiring parts of running a nonprofit like the Cameron Connor Foundation is the support and love from others who have overcome heartbreaking obstacles to make the world a better place.

One of our first donations to this year’s fundraiser is in honor of my cousin, and local inspiration Eddie Kizer. We were all moved as he, and his family, faced the inevitable reality of ALS with grace and dignity, and the community poured out love and support to them. We are honored that Kristin and the family have made a significant contribution to our cause.

ALS robbed Eddie of a significant portion of his life, and we hope each of you will continue to pray for Kristin and the boys, and continue to support the fight to find a cure for ALS. ALS doesn’t just take the person diagnosed, it impacts everyone around them. We love you, Kizer family. Kristin Creech Kizer

As we get started on this years 12 Days of Christmas fundraiser, a look back on the 2025 fundraiser, including all of our excellent sponsors and prizes! A special thanks to Johnson DuRant, LLC for being our title sponsor last year!

So what were we able to do with the funds from last year?
- Christmas for 13 local kids through the Kay Phillips Child Advocacy Center
- $3,000 in Summerville Family YMCA scholarships
- $2,000 in Dicks gift cards for local athletes
- $3,000 towards a new scoreboard at Will Rickborn Field
- Sponsorship for Into the Light, Living Gospel Ministries production this spring
- Scholarships for 2 local youth through the Summerville Chamber of Commerce
- $1,500 to the Town of Harleyville for baseball field improvements
- $200 sponsorship for St George Rotary’s Pickleball Tournament
- $500 to Lake Marion All Stars- Team South Carolina for making the national tournament
- Entered a Christmas tree into Junior Service League of Summerville
- Over $2,000 in additional direct support to youth in need in our community!

COMING SOON!!!! Are you over this heat? We certainly are! We already have visions of sugarplums and a WHOLE bunch of donations to kids in our community! Last year's event was a HUGE success thanks to all of you, and this year will be even bigger!

Tonight I watched on GameChanger as the DYB careers of several young men from St George came to a close at the state tournament. Watching the final three outs in the 6th reminded me of the last times that Bryson and Cameron played DYB and the state tournament joys and heartbreak we endured.

Watching our boys carry our district flag that last day was hard but the promise of many next chapters made it all just a little bit better. Unfortunately, not every next chapter comes for these young men (and women). Injuries, shifting interests, and yeah, even tragedy rip the remaining pages right from the book of life. But I’ll always remember… Cameron’s game winning double against Latta to send us to the state championship… Bryson’s triple to seal the game against Hanahan… one last game as not just their dad, but as their coach. These moments are fleeting and while it feels like there’s always a next season, we should enjoy every at bat, every game, win or lose, heck, every trip to the concession stand to get a blow pop. It’s all over too fast.

To the young men who have worn that interlocked StG on their hats, you represent us well. You make us proud. And we love you. Here’s to your next chapters, whatever is written and whatever revisions you shall make.

Congratulations to Lucas on winning the 2026 Cameron Connor Golden Raider Award. This is not for the best football player, but is for a coachable player who is a great teammate, works hard, and is a little “goofy.” I can’t think of a better young man to win this year’s award!

The Cameron Connor Foundation and Living Word Ministries were grateful for all of the support at the “Into the Light” play last month. Earlier this week we were able to donate $5,371 to Emerson Jones and her family as Emerson continues to battle a number of diagnoses.

A huge shoutout to Layton Wimberly for all of his hard work on the play and for everyone who performed, helped with stage work, cooked food, donated, etc. Every bit of the support helped us not only deliver a powerful message, but also make a difference for a wonderful young lady.

The Cameron Connor Foundation would like to congratulate Hayden Folk (Summerville High School) and Lyla Owens (Dorchester Academy) for being the first two recipients of the Cameron Connor Memorial Scholarship.

In collaboration with the Summerville Chamber of Commerce, we awarded each of these very deserving students with a $500 scholarship, renewable up to 3 additional years. Congratulations Hayden and Lyla!

These scholarships are made possible through donations and support of both the Chamber foundation and the Cameron Connor Foundation!

Congratulations to Natural Kids, one of our donors for the 2025 12 Days of Christmas Raffle! We’re grateful to have you in our community!

A while back I shared that I had some exciting news coming… and here it is!!!!

Natural Kids Pediatric Integrative Medicine was voted the 2026 Lowcountry Parent Mom’s Choice Award Winner for Best Pediatrician.

Truthfully, this means more to me than I can put into words.

Natural Kids was built from a place of wanting families to feel seen, heard, and supported, especially the ones navigating hard, complex seasons with their children and searching for answers for their kiddos with complex needs.

To every parent who has trusted me with your babies, your stories, your fears, and your hopes… thank you. Truly.

Thank you for allowing me to listen, advocate, dig deeper, and walk alongside your family through the hard things.
