St. Mary's Center is incredibly grateful for Sanofi US's investment in our work via their Healthy Futures Solutions Fund over this last year. In just one year, this funding supported approximately six families transitioning to independent housing, 22 behavioral health sessions, five clinical group sessions, six children under age five accessing daycare, and helped five heads of household in education or workforce programming.

As part of Sanofi’s commitment to St. Mary's Center, Healthy Futures Solution Fund helps essential nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts address everyday barriers to health, like access to care, healthy food, housing, transportation and more.

We were delighted to join Life Science Cares Boston for this week’s Mini Golf for Good event! ⛳️

It was wonderful to connect with fellow nonprofit organizations supported by Life Science Cares, meet members of their community, and enjoy some fun and friendly competition.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to come together with so many organizations working to strengthen our communities and especially grateful to Life Science Cares for their continued support of St. Mary’s Center and the women, children, and families we serve.

St. Mary's Center's leadership team is having a great time at The National Women's Shelter Network's Annual Conference. Earlier in the week, our President Alexis Steel joined national leaders in a conversation on "The National Outlook: Meeting the Special Needs of Sheltered Children"-- exploring the unique needs of children living in shelter and how we can better support children and families experiencing homelessness. This week, SMC Board Member Brenda Rosario, a former SMC resident, also shared her unique perspective in a panel conversation on lived experience in shelter.

At St. Mary’s Center, we believe supporting families experiencing homelessness means investing in the whole family and creating opportunities for every child to shine. We’re grateful to be part of a national conversation focused on strengthening that support and building a brighter future for children and families.

A record 40% of Massachusetts households experienced food insecurity last year, and food insecurity among children rose to 37% (per The Greater Boston Food Bank).

For families facing barriers to stability, including housing, childcare, healthcare and access to other essentials, putting food on the table can feel like another obstacle to overcome. At St. Mary’s Center, we believe supporting families means looking at the whole picture, creating stability, building opportunity and making sure families have access to the resources they need to thrive.
