Rodeoing for a Reason!

Cowboys for Cancer Research was proud to partner with the Southern New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo for a special Rodeo Theme Night dedicated to making a difference!

Thanks to the incredible support of our rodeo community, $822 was raised for Cowboys for Cancer Research! Every dollar helps further our mission of supporting cancer research and brings us one step closer to a future without cancer.

We are incredibly grateful to the Southern New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo, everyone who participated, and every person who donated. It’s amazing what can happen when the western community comes together for a cause bigger than ourselves. ❤️

Together, we’re riding for hope, fighting for a cure, and making every dollar count. 🎗️🐎

🤠 Friday night, we’re rodeo bound for a cause!

Join Cowboys For Cancer Research at 7pm at the Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo for a night of rodeo action, community, and support for cancer research. 🩵

Our rodeo family knows the power of showing up for one another. Let’s bring that same spirit to supporting those whose lives have been touched by cancer and the research that brings hope for the future.

We sure had a G•O•O•D•T•I•M•E watching the Thunderbirds in action last night! 💥⚡️

We are so proud to have such a great group of student-athletes representing our organization! Thank you to each athlete, coach, judge and spectator that took the time to proudly display their hand made feathers, wear teal and help us in our fight for a cure. Together, no one fights alone! 🎗️

The Rodeo Season is winding down but some the C4CR athletes are still making their mark on 2026! Saddlebronc rider Zac Dallas spurs one in the neck at Pendleton, while bullfighter Brody Brogan gets around a 'high horned one' at a recent UBF competition. Thanks for supporting C4CR!

We’re excited to raffle off this incredible knife in support of cancer research! ❤️ Every ticket purchased helps support an important cause and brings us one step closer to making a difference. All proceeds directly impact Sul Ross Rodeo and a Texas Cancer Research Institute.

We here at Cowboys for Cancer Research are saddened to hear about the passing of one of our dearest supporters, Robert 'Shoofly' Shufelt. We are praying for the family in this time of need and hope they find comfort in our Lord. We know that he is back to drawing some of the greatest scenes ever in heaven above with all his cowboy friends. Happy Trails Robert. Until we meet again.
