Today we’re celebrating all the le****ns in our community, the ones who have been out and proud for years, the ones still figuring things out, and everyone in between.

Being visible matters. Seeing other women living openly and proudly can make a huge difference, especially for someone who may still be trying to find their place.

So today, we celebrate le***an love, friendship, strength, and community. We celebrate the women who came before us and those who continue to make space for the next generation.

Happy Bisexual Visibility Day from Pride of the Heartland!

Today, we celebrate and recognize our bisexual community; their identities, their stories, their courage, and the many ways they contribute to our LGBTQ+ community.

Bisexuality is real, valid, and worthy of visibility. You don’t have to “prove” your identity based on who you’re dating, who you’ve dated in the past, or how others perceive you. Your identity belongs to you.

At Pride of the Heartland, we believe everyone deserves to feel welcomed, respected, and seen for exactly who they are. Today and every day, we stand with our bisexual community and celebrate the beautiful diversity within our community.

You are seen. You are valued. You belong.

Ever wonder why some political posts are approved on our Pride of the Heartland platforms and others are not? Here’s why:

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, federal law strictly prohibits us from engaging in any political campaign activity supporting or opposing candidates for public office. That means we cannot endorse, oppose, or fund candidates, and this rule applies to all our communications, including social media.

We CAN, however, post about policy issues that relate directly to our mission; as long as we don’t mention specific candidates or political parties. We’re also allowed to host nonpartisan voter engagement activities, like registration drives or candidate forums, as long as everyone is treated equally.

Our team members are free to share their personal political views on their own time and channels, but not using the Pride of the Heartland name, logo, or resources.

We’re committed to following these rules to protect our mission and our tax-exempt status. Thanks for understanding!
