Calling all Detroit block club and neighborhood association leaders!

Your voice can help shape the future of Detroit's neighborhoods.

Over the past several months, residents have shared their ideas through Plan Detroit Policy Workshops and District Meetings. Now, the Planning and Development Department is inviting you to learn how to use the Plan Detroit online engagement platform so you can help gather feedback from your community on the updated Draft Place Types Map and Draft Policies Document.

If you answered "yes" to both of these questions then you are in luck! On Oct. 3rd 2026 The Greening of Detroit & Bagley Neighborhood Association will plant free trees, please see the tree options in the flyer below and scan the QR to express your interest!

If you live outside of this area but are interested please still fill out the form because we may have another planting session in the Spring of 2027.

Interested in a FREE tree planted for you on the berm/easement (the area between the street and the sidewalk) that includes two years of watering assistance and the first pruning?

A bunch of Bagley neighbors gathered at Bucharest for our monthly local business meetup and we really enjoyed our meal here. I tried the new menu item: chicken tenders. There were many seating options, the food came out quick, and the prices were reasonable. So thankful we have one of these Detroit staples in our neighborhood!

At Bagley Neighborhood Association's July quarterly meeting we proudly received a copy of our Certificate of Recognition from the Department of Neighborhoods for registering with the City of Detroit. This certificate formally recognizes our group, connects us to city information and resources, and strengthens community safety and engagement.
