walk a day in someone else's shoes, you never know what someone else is going/living through.

we say live by the golden rule, "do unto others as you would have done to you" It is even in the Bible - Matthew 7:12 in the words of Jesus, "12 “In everything do to others as you would have them do to you, for this is the Law and the Prophets."
But what if what we do to others as we like, is not something they would like done to them? You may like to be hugged when you are hurting and others may not like to be hugged but just a pat on the back or hand on the shoulder.
What if we like it when someone stands and says a prayer along side us but someone else does not?
sometimes doing unto others as you would have done to you is not as easy as we might think. And we are all going through something we cannot always know or be aware of.
But, we can smile, we can ask "what can I do for you" or "how can I pray for you" or even just a simple "I am here for you and I care so take it one day at a time" and as crazy as this may sound, sometimes it is just being there...no words...no hugs...just be there and listen, be there and help if they need. Instead of just doing, lets also listen.
But Jesus did want us to love one another, just as he loves us. We all want to be loved, cared about, treated with respect, to be heard, to be appreciated. This is not difficult and we should strive for doing this to others as we would have this done to us, DAILY!
We never know what someone else is going through, living in or thinking. Our 'plates' are overfull and for some overwhelming. And you may be the only Jesus they see that day.
