Depew FFA had a busy day. We started the day at the Mannford Sporting Clays contest with two senior teams and two junior teams. The senior team consisting of Kyler Fenton, Malachi McKnight, Wes Gardner and Harlen Hinshaw were in 1st place when we left the shoot. Everybody did a great job and scores will be updated in a couple days. We traveled back to Depew to switch out kids and headed out to the Creek County Farm Bureau annual meeting. Thank you to Anita Osburn and the Creek County Farm Bureau for allowing our Officers and two of our leadership team members the opportunity to help out at the meeting. It was an honor to get to help serve. Thank you so much for the generous donation to our chapter.

Depew FFA is selling mums along with our FFA meat sale. Please contact a Depew FFA member if you would like to purchase one. They are the large mums just like we have always sold. They will be $25 each. You can also message us on this post to place your order. Mum colors available white, red, purple, orange and yellow. Mums should be in around the middle of September. Congratulations to Depew FFA member Tyse Buck, Jolie Marshall from the Harrah FFA chapter and Liam McMahan from the McAlester FFA chapter for qualifying for the National Talent competition. They will represent Oklahoma FFA and their chapters competing at the National FFA convention in October. Good Luck to these FFA members!!

The fall meat sale has officially kicked off today! Contact your favorite Depew FFA member or message us if you would like to order and don’t have a contact person. The Blue and Gold chicken strips have changed to a 2.5 pound bag that can be cooked in the air fryer. Meat sale orders and money will be due on September 10th.

Yesterday Depew FFA member Tyse Buck attended his first Oklahoma Agriculture Youth Council meeting. Lots of exciting things going on this year for the Agriculture Youth Council. Way to go Tyse!

The Depew FFA officer team just finished officer retreat this afternoon. We spent an action packed last two days enjoying agritourism, planning the year, team bonding and eating in Branson, Mo. We kicked the trip off on Monday morning with official dress pictures and then headed to Branson for more pictures in their officer shirts. We then enjoyed a trip to Promise Land Zoo with a VIP experience getting to hold some of the animals. We rode mountain coasters and then finished the day with some team bonding and planning for the year. This morning we started the day with a cave tour at Fantastic caverns and Bass Pro Shop. Finally no trip would be complete without a trip to Buc-ees before heading home. It was a great trip and we are ready for an awesome year!!
