A 50-foot male Fin whale washed ashore late Friday along the beach in Barnegat Light.

The whale was discovered in the surf and confirmed deceased. Responders from the Marine Mammal Stranding Center arrived on scene to assess the animal and begin coordinating next steps.

Fin Whales are the second largest animal species on Earth. They come to the coast of New Jersey to mate during months of December thru February.

Did Dominion Energy’s Offshore Wind Project just kill a Right Whale ?

Dominion’s Offshore Wind project had been shut down due to national security concerns, but on January 16th, a Biden appointed federal judge allowed the project to restart. Work reportedly resumed sometime between January 16th–20th.

Then on February 10th, a 3-year-old North Atlantic Right Whale calf washed up dead in a remote area near Virginia Beach.

This wasn’t just any whale, it was a tracked calf, and researchers even know its family lineage going back to its grandmother.

This also isn’t Dominion’s first overlap with Right Whale habitat. The 112,000 acre wind project sits directly in a major migration corridor used by Right Whales traveling from Canada down to North Carolina and Florida.

In past years, Dominion has paused work during migration season, typically November through May.

Even more concerning, NOAA “take” authorizations for the project reportedly allow for 7 Level B harassment incidents involving Right Whales.

So the question is obvious:
What work has Dominion been doing since it rushed to restart the project? Could it have contributed to this whale’s death?

Heartbreaking news for North Atlantic Right Whales…

A 3-year-old female Right Whale was found washed up in Virginia on Feb. 10. This is now the second Right Whale death in just two weeks.

Two weeks ago, a 4-year-old male Right Whale was found dead in North Carolina.

There are only about 380 Right Whales left, including just 72 reproductive females.

Even worse, the Virginia whale was a calf of Porcia (age 25). Porcia’s mother is Mantis (age 40), and tragically all three of Porcia’s calves have now died. Meanwhile, Mantis has had eight calves.

Every loss matters when the species is this close to disappearing. 💔🐋

In his final hour in office yesterday, Phil Murphy signed the Forks and Condiments ban in New Jersey.

The new law prohibits restaurants, food trucks, and entertainment venues from providing plastic utensils or condiments unless a customer specifically asks for them. Businesses that don’t comply will be fined.

This does nothing meaningful for the environment. It simply makes everyday life in New Jersey more inconvenient for residents.

Much like the Offshore Wind Turbines mess, this is the legacy of eight years of misguided policy. Now it’s set to be followed by a candidate widely known for dishonesty, ethical issues, and a complete lack of management experience.

Good luck, New Jersey.

It’s the same radical activist network every single time. They push Offshore Wind, attack Nick Shirley, bury the Minnesota fraud scandals, chant “No Kings,” then turn around and excuse authoritarian regimes like Maduro’s.

They smear Charlie Kirk, obstruct ICE, undermine law enforcement, and protect corruption while lecturing everyone else about “democracy.” It’s a sham.

This isn’t incompetence. It’s coordination. The Democrat Party has fused itself to this corrupt activist class, prioritizing ideology, donors, and power over truth and accountability.

They don’t deserve compromise. They don’t deserve trust. And on Offshore Wind or any other policy, they shouldn’t be given a single inch, we are fighting evil.

Merry Christmas! Effective Immediately the President and the Department of the Interior announced all large-scale Offshore Wind projects will be paused, effecting: Empire Wind, Vineyard Wind1, Revolution Wind, CVOW and Sunrise Wind.

This comes after "National Security Risks" identified by the Department of War in classified reports.

Per the press release, DOI says the pause will "give the Department, along with the Department of War and other relevant government agencies, time to work with leaseholders and state partners to assess the possibility of mitigating national security risks posed by these projects".

"The prime duty of the United States government is to protect the American people," Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum said in the press release.

"Today’s action addresses emerging national security risks, including the rapid evolution of the relevant adversary technologies, and the vulnerabilities created by large-scale offshore wind projects with proximity near our east coast population centers. The Trump administration will always prioritize the security of the American people."

A US court has struck down Donald Trump’s ban on issuing new wind energy permits, dealing a blow to the administration’s drive to undermine clean power initiatives.

Massachusetts district court judge Patti B Saris on Monday vacated the president’s January executive order freezing approval of offshore wind energy projects, calling the measure “arbitrary and capricious and contrary to law”.

Seventeen states led by New York Attorney General Letitia James sued Trump in May to overturn the president's ban.

Mikie Sherrill has asked NJ Democrats to raise the Sales Tax to 7% prior to start of her term.

The Murphy Administration has just released its 2024 Energy Master Plan on 11/24/2025:

The document lays out a hard-line “No Regrets” agenda that forces New Jersey toward 100% clean electricity by 2035 even while openly admitting this will mean higher electric bills, new taxes, and sweeping disruptions to the state’s natural landscape, grid, and infrastructure.

On Offshore Wind, the state finally concedes what has been obvious to everyone: the offshore-wind rollout has collapsed. We lost money, projects have been canceled, costs have spiraled, developers have walked away, and there is no viable path forward under current conditions. Yet instead of reassessing, the plan doubles down with aggressive mandates:

3.5 GW of offshore wind must be online by 2035, despite no confirmed projects capable of delivering it.

The state will now redirect funding toward building transmission lines and offshore infrastructure in advance, essentially preparing the grid for wind projects that do not exist.

New Jersey also intends to build new multi-state transmission routes so it can import offshore wind from other states if NJ’s own development continues to stall.

As Mikie Sherrill moves toward the governorship, her Transition Team signals that this agenda will intensify as its top priority. She has elevated leaders from the Biden Department of Energy, individuals who were central architects of the federal offshore-wind strategy and major proponents of rapid-build green transmission. Their presence makes clear: the administration is preparing to push the same aggressive offshore-wind and transmission policies that have already strained New Jersey’s grid, finances, and coastal communities.

Announced this weekend, Mikie Sherrill’s Transition Team Leader is the architect and lead policy maker of America’s Offshore Wind Program, under the Biden Administration.

Sherrill is expected to double down on Offshore Wind, with Jennifer Granholm leading the effort:

Granholm, U.S. Secretary of Energy under President Biden (2021–2025), was the federal lead policy maker for Offshore Wind.

Federal Offshore Wind Program: She created and announced the program, providing a structured national plan to scale offshore wind.

Targets and Goals: In 2023, she set national targets of 30 GW by 2030 and 110 GW by 2050.

Industrial & Economic Leadership: Oversaw DOE initiatives defining the technical, economic, and industrial roadmap.

State-Level Coordination: Coordinated accelerated development of New Jersey’s offshore wind leases, translating federal policy into actionable regional projects.

Public Advocacy: Positioned Offshore wind as critical for energy security, job creation, coastal economic revitalization, and decarbonization, making it central to the Biden administration’s energy agenda.
