Pride is a celebration of identity, community, and the freedom to live authentically. 🏳️‍🌈 It's also a reminder that feeling seen, supported, and connected can have a profound impact on our health and well-being.

In Colorado, only 42% of LGBTQ+ adults report good mental health, compared to 74.8% of heterosexual, cisgender adults. Behind that gap are real experiences of discrimination, isolation, and barriers to support.

The power of affirmation, connection, and belonging to support well-being—both individually and collectively—cannot be overstated. Whether it's a supportive family member, a trusted friend, an affirming workplace, an inclusive school, or a welcoming community, belonging allows people to thrive.

This Pride Month, we're celebrating LGBTQ+ Coloradans and the many people, relationships, and communities that help make belonging possible.

Take Pride in Action! Practice showing up with authenticity and helping others feel safe to do the same. Find resources and support at www.mentalhealthcolorado.org/resources.

Yesterday, our team toured Craig Hospital and learned from Dr. Jim Schraa, PsyD, Rehabilitation Neuropsychologist, about the role mental health plays in recovery from spinal cord and brain injuries.

As comes to a close, we're grateful for organizations like Craig Hospital and for progress like SB26-060, Alyssa's Youth Concussion Mental Health Protection Act, which recognizes the undeniable connection between physical injuries and health of mind.

Thank you for helping Coloradans heal, recover, and thrive.

Workplace stress affects far more than productivity. It impacts physical health, relationships, stability, and overall well-being across Colorado communities. In fact, our health of mind is shaped by where we live and work, which means earlier support can make a worthwhile difference.

As comes to a close, every gift made in May will still be doubled thanks to Alpine Bank.

Only a few days remain to double your impact before comes to a close. 💚

In Colorado, nearly half of people without stable housing report poor mental health, compared to about 1 in 8 people with stable housing. It's important to recognize how mental health and where we live/work are interconnected. Housing stability, employment, financial security, and access to care all play a critical role in promoting healthier minds across Colorado.

Your donation means together, we can advance solutions that expand access to housing, strengthen economic stability, improve access to care, and create healthier communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Through May 31, every gift is matched dollar-for-dollar thanks to Alpine Bank. There’s still time to make twice the impact before the match ends: www.mentalhealthcolorado.org/donate

Thank you to Alpine Bank for making this matching opportunity possible, and to AccessiTREE, Neurocrine Biosciences, and Rocky Mountain Health Plans for supporting Mental Health Awareness Month and healthier minds across Colorado.

Mental health is shaped by how we see ourselves and how we move through the world. 💚
