Save the Date! Internationally acclaimed pianist Gabriela Montero makes her Friends of Chamber Music debut on October 11.

Many Colorado music lovers will recognize Montero from her acclaimed appearances with the Colorado Symphony, most recently this past spring. Now, audiences have the rare opportunity to experience her artistry in an intimate solo recital.

Inspired by the music of Spain, Montero's program is filled with vibrant colors, irresistible rhythms, and expressive freedom, featuring works by Albéniz, Granados, Larrocha, and Scarlatti, culminating in Liszt's dazzling Spanish Rhapsody.

According to The New York Times, Montero's playing has everything: "...crackling rhythmic brio, subtle shadings, steely power… soulful lyricism… unsentimental expressivity.”

A season opener doesn't get much better than this.

On September 27, audience favorite Jeremy Denk joins the award-winning Isidore String Quartet for an evening of chamber music masterworks.

Many of you will remember the Isidore Quartet's thrilling FCM debut in 2023. Now they're back, joining one of today's most celebrated pianists for two spectacular piano quintets: Schumann's exuberant Op. 44 and Brahms's powerful Op. 34.

The evening opens with the quartet performing Webern's lush and romantic Langsamer Satz—a work that reveals a very different side of the composer best known for his modernism.

It's the perfect way to begin a new season together. Get your subscription today - Early Bird pricing through June 21!

Happy National Chamber Music Month!

What a season it's been. We opened 2025-26 with a moment we won't soon forget — FCM favorite the Pacifica Quartet sharing the stage with the Colorado Childrens Chorale — and closed it in pure elegance with the incomparable Jean-Yves Thibaudet at the piano. You brought the energy, the curiosity, and the joy every single night. Thank you!

And now? We're already eagerly looking ahead to another spectacular season. The Isidore String Quartet returns to launch our season, this time joined by the brilliant pianist Jeremy Denk, another beloved FCM favorite. Chamber music isn't just something we listen to. It's something we experience — together. We are so grateful for our amazing FCM audiences. Here's to another wonderful season!

What a way to close the season!

Last night’s performance with legendary pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet was nothing short of extraordinary. From Debussy’s shimmering colors and atmospheric sound worlds to the warmth and enthusiasm of our audience, it was an evening we won’t soon forget.

Jean-Yves himself shared that Friends of Chamber Music has one of the best audiences he’s ever performed for — a compliment we proudly share with all of you who joined us in the hall.

The evening began with a surprise appearance at the pre-concert talk, where Thibaudet joined FCM Music Committee Chair Aaron Stampfl for an engaging conversation about Debussy and the artistry behind the Préludes. Following the concert, he generously stayed to greet patrons and add his signature to FCM’s historic tapestry alongside so many remarkable artists from past seasons.

Thank you for being part of such a memorable season finale — and for supporting live music. A special thanks to our concert sponsor, CPR Classical, and morning host Kabin Thomas who joined us for the concert.

Were you there? We’d love to hear your thoughts and favorite moments from the evening. 🎶
