Ipoderac's Children Fund

Ipoderac's Children Fund Ipoderac's Children Fund is a U.S. non-profit based in Denver, CO to support IPODERAC, a home for abandoned children in Atlixco, Puebla, Mexico.

Founded in 1965 by three women who wanted to help men coming out of prison, IPODERAC changed its focus to children when the founders discovered that many of the men had lived on the street as children. Today, IPODERAC is home to 72 boys, ages 5-18, who obtain an education, life skills and work experience and other necessary services to prepare them for a life of self-sufficiency. Over 70% of the f

unds used to support the children are generated through the production and sales of 20+ kinds of artisan goat cheese, which is sold in high end grocery stores and served in many restaurants. In 2014, the City of Atlixco, long proud of the work of IPODERAC, donated 6 acres of land to build a similar program for girls. The program is slated to open in 2016 at the 50th anniversary celebration of IPODERAC.
