Our meeting was full of movement and color with information on life for women in the Middle East and how we can encourage one another.

We will not be getting a group photo taken tonight for the Shopping News. It has been postponed to the November meeting,
but come out tonight, October 21 – “Middle Eastern Dance” by Cynthis Burkhart.
Did you know that Middle Eastern Dance is the oldest recorded dance in the world? This presentation
will be sure to broaden appreciation of the significance of this beautiful art form and its role in the
Middle Culture. The history, exquisite fabrics and drums that accompany dancers will be shared
along with a performance of traditional folk dance.

Getting ready for the start of another season of the Denver Women's Club activities!
Some club members setting up the stage for the Denver Fair. (We need to work on our selfie picture taking skills)

And Wed night, September 16, is the first meeting with; “Songs & Stories of the American Revolution” by Matthew Dodd. Dressed in period costume, set in a Colonial tavern, Matthew takes audiences back in time to the days of the American Colonial settlement and the American Revolution. Using rousing period songs and stories that put the songs into the context of the time, Matthew brings to life the exciting time of the Days of 1776. Throughout the show, Matthew sings and plays guitar and banjo.

Our fabulous Janes have given their resignation as the co-chairs for the Program committee. AFTER 40 years they would like to let someone(s) new take the lead, they will stay on the committee to assist. Please consider stepping forward into this position and have a greater impact in the club! Just let either Jane or Susie know.

Our committees have been busy this summer, getting together to plan for the 26-27 season. WE CELABRATE 75 years! 🥳
Rumor has it there will be CAKE at the first meeting on Sept. 16th.
Here's our garden committee keeping the Denver Park fish pond garden looking lovely.

We had another great ending of the season banquet filled with food and fun! (and one 73 year old turtle named Nikki)
Anyone interested in joining the club for the '26-'27 season, starting in Sept., should call 717-336-7444. You do not have to live in Denver to join the club.

The mystery of 'The Turtle' is solved!
He will be attending our banquet on May 20th.

A big garden salute goes out to Geri & Claire from the Denver volunteer garden club and Deb from the Denver women's club garden committee for volunteering their time to plant 87 native shrubs and perennials on the banks of the skate park today! It was a great day to be out digging in the dirt. Thank you Ladies!

Our last program meeting of this season was fill with art and music and laughter, chocolate and technical difficulties!
You had to be there.😉

Thank you to all our officers, committee chairwomen and members who pitched in & did their part to make this a great year.

We still have our year end banquet on May 20 and I keep hearing something about a turtle! Let Nedra know you are coming and find out what all the turtle talk is all about.
