Where do you seek help to think and love wisely?
Jesus ends his Sermon on the Mount with two builders. Same storm, same materials, two different foundations. He never says the wise one saw it coming or dodged the weather. The rain fell on both houses, but only one remained standing.

We’ll spend seven weeks with Jesus’ challenging teaching, and we invite you to bring the questions you really carry about money, power, relationships, politics, grief, speaking truth with love.

What can you expect when you visit EDV for our 9am Sunday worship service? After grabbing a cup of coffee or tea, we begin with a call and response prayer, an invitation to sing a couple worship songs, and then greet one another while the youth are dismissed for their class (for nursery-elementary, parents drop off kids right before our 9am service begins).
Then, we share some announcements, the preacher gives a Bible-based teaching that points to the hope of the Good News of Jesus and His kingdom.
After that, we have an opportunity to respond to the sermon through worship, receiving communion, and getting prayer. Our service lasts about an hour and 20 minutes.

Who knows, the preacher may even show you how to make bread!

We’d love for you to join us sometime! At EDV, there’s always room at the table.

Hi everyone, if you received a Mother’s or Father’s Day or 1st Time Visitor giftcard to Savageau Coffee and Ice Cream, but you haven’t had a chance to use them…

Our friends Denon and Chris have sold the shop to new owners, so the giftcards are now void.

HOWEVER, they will be our guest hosts scooping their delicious ice cream at the Bellwether Coffee Hour THIS SUNDAY, August 23, right after the service! Come and enjoy a free ice cream cone or two, and invite a friend to join in on the fun! Stephen Blazs can hook you up with an affogato…yum!
