In 2015, Naila and her family left the Democratic Republic of the Congo because of safety concerns, hoping for a better life. After spending time in Uganda, the family moved to Colorado and, with JFS's support, built the future she had always imagined.

From increased screen time and social media to constant access to global news and everyday peer challenges, kids are experiencing heightened levels of stress and anxiety. To help our school-based KidSuccess therapists strengthen their approach to su***de assessment and prevention, they recently joined other client-facing JFS staff for an insightful half-day training focused on supporting youth with increased safety concerns.
