Puppies in the Mountains Puppies in the Mountains is a weekend event where human critters and handlers can be with their pack and have a ridiculous amount of fun.

The Pets and Handlers community is one of unconditional joy; and its diverse members tap a primal sense of carefree play, communal pack-hood, and open-hearted sexual identity. In 2009, Puppies in the Mountains created the first weekend convention in specifically for the PAH community where all are encouraged to be their complete selves. In the 9 annual events since, the event has grown and spawned others around the country—and we’re just getting started. At PITM, everyone who identifies with or supports the community is welcome. The personalities of its members are as varied as the unique personalities of all breeds of dogs/cats/ponies+ in the world. We seek to engage, accept, and affirm anyone connected to the PAH community regardless of identity or experience-level. And as we grow we strive to build more bridges between local Rocky Mountain PAHs and the wider leather community, contributing a playful and fun-loving spirit to the international brother/sisterhood.

Care & Feeding of Handlers combines a discussion about handling critters with an added perspective from the floor. We will explore the headspace for the upright half of the equation and how the local critters can support them.

Don met Pup Luckey in 2009, and together they hold the International Puppy & Trainer titles for 2012. While generally an introvert, Don loves education and community growth, teaching classes, and participating in discussion panels.

Discovering Headspace is for every pup/pet/critter who needs help losing themself in their critter brain, letting the human thoughts and anxieties go, and for those who want to get to know their inner critter better. It uses a mix of techniques from evidence-based practices like mindfulness meditation, progressive relaxation, and shallow hypnosis, to help your inner critter find you, and communicate on a deeper level. Easygoing, fun, relaxing, innervating, and a chill, safe place to explore.
Renee has been a handler of pups and pets since shortly after lockdown, and a deviant his whole life. A great fan of cuddles and simple(ish) pleasures, Renee is a quick hand with scritches and belly rubs, and takes great pleasure in seeing critters be critters.
