✨ Happy New Year from the Black Sheriff’s Protective Association President ✨

As we step into a new year, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our members and the community that continues to stand with us. Your support, trust, and partnership are the foundation of everything we do.

The Black Sheriff’s Protective Association was honored to partner with the Summons Foundation to help make this Thanksgiving brighter for families across Denver. Together, we assisted in providing 300 turkeys and sides to members of our community in need.

This is what collaboration, service, and love for our city looks like. We are deeply thankful for the opportunity to give back and help ensure that hundreds of Denver families can gather around the table this holiday season with full hearts and full plates.

Thank you to every volunteer, partner, and supporter who made this possible. Community is our strength. 🦃🖤❤️💚🦃

Shout out to D/S Kamara for the amazing pictures💕

Do you know a family in need this Thanksgiving? 🦃
Send them our way!

The Black Sheriff’s Protective Association (BSPA), in partnership with The Simmons Foundation, the Black Police Officers, and the Black Firefighters Alliance, is coming together to spread gratitude and love this season.

On November 22, we’ll be giving away turkeys and all the fixings to ensure every family in our community can enjoy a warm and abundant Thanksgiving meal.

Together, we’re showing what it means to serve — with compassion, unity, and community spirit. 💛🍂

Let me take a moment to give a huge shoutout to our BSPA members who stepped up and volunteered their time to es**rt cancer survivors at this year’s Breast Cancer Survivor Gala.

Your presence was more than just service, it was compassion in action.
To stand beside these warriors as they were honored for their strength and resilience is powerful, and I am so proud that BSPA showed up with dignity, heart, and support.

This is what community looks like.
This is what servant leadership looks like.
And this is who we are.

Please know how much you are appreciated Deputy Tootle, Deputy Shull, Deputy Solis, Deputy Hill and Deputy Warren!

💗 Thank you for representing the Association with excellence.
💗 Thank you for uplifting survivors with respect and care.
💗 Thank you for saying “yes” when it mattered.

💙🖤 Faith & Blue 2025 was a success! 🖤💙

What an incredible day of unity, connection, and service! Thank you to everyone who came out to bridge faith and law enforcement through community.

Huge shout-out to Keri Adcock, MPS , Deputy Abe Solano, Chelsea Maciel, and Katie Allen for their hard work and leadership in planning this event, you all made it happen!

Grateful for Elias Diggins for always keeping community as a focus and supporting our mission to meet people where they are, and to Mayor Mike Johnston and Deputy Mayor/Executive Public Safety Director Al Gardner for being present and engaged with our community.

Special thanks to Shontel M. Lewis for her ongoing efforts to help our neighborhoods thrive.

We’re also thankful to our partners — the Black Sheriff’s Protective Association (BSPA) and the Denver Sheriff Latino Organization (DSLO) — for their continued service and commitment to the community.

A huge thank-you to all of the community organizations that hosted tables, provided valuable resources, and helped make this event impactful. Your presence truly helped us meet our community where they are.

And a heartfelt thank-you to New Hope Baptist Church and Pastor Rev. Eugene Downing, D.Min. for opening your doors and your hearts to host us again this year.

Together, we’re building bridges and strengthening trust — that’s the spirit of Faith & Blue.

The Black Sheriff's Protective Association is honored to support the future of our youth by helping fund a backpack and school supply giveaway for students in marginalized communities. With hearts full of purpose, BSPA members D/S Chavez and D/S Metoyer joined the effort at Hope Communities, proudly distributing backpacks and empowering students from areas near East Colfax, Five Points, and Park Hill to start the school year strong.
