Founded in 1979, Swallow Hill Music (SHM, Swallow Hill) is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) organization that strives to positively impact the quality of people’s lives through music. SHM operates a music school and three performance venues at its Broadway & Yale location, and produces outreach activities and community events throughout the Denver metro region as an SCFD-funded Tier II organization with a

$6 Million annual budget (2019). In addition to music therapy sessions, Swallow Hill’s flagship early education program “Little Swallows” is provided for students across the city. The organization is the producing partner for concerts at Denver Botanic Gardens, Four Mile Historic Park, the Butterfly Pavilion, the Clyfford Still Museum, and various music venues. Swallow Hill is a nationally-revered hub for concerts, classes, and community, and is a recipient of both the Mayor’s and the Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts, and an inductee of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame and Folk Alliance International’s Business Lifetime Achievement awards.

It's our 20th year of House of Rock summer camps! 🎉🥳🤘🎸🥁

It's hard to believe it was a full 2 decades ago that Chadzilla Music started this extraordinary program to give teens a place to rock out at Swallow Hill.

This marks 20 amped up summers of young musicians:
🎵 Learning to play as a band and work professional gear
🎵 Performing full concerts on legendary local stages
🎵 Nailing essential albums in just a week, from Talking Heads to Beck to Paramore to Rage Against the Machine
🎵 Writing, recording, and publishing entire original albums

All under the direction of an inspiring expert musician who's enkindled a lifelong love of music in so many teens ♥️

Does your teen want to get in on the fun for this year? Limited spots are still available for this summer's camps for ages 11-15 or 14-18 in June and July - register quick on our website 🔗

Thank you Chadzilla, as well as Barf, Belch, Steel Dragon, Mama T, Scoobazi, our many other instructors throughout the years, Brian Hunter, and all the young rockers and their parents! Let's keep on rawkin' for many more summers to come 🤘

We were honored to host 2 magical nights last week of John Craigie playing "Help! The Lonely Beatles for Sale" ♥️

This was the latest of his annual Beatles Lonely shows, with Fab Four albums played totally solo - the kind of show that's built for our listening room concert experience.

It was particularly special to have a STACKED lineup of local musicians opening with a Beatles tune each on both nights (plus this epic, unplugged, sing-along encore pictured!)

We're grateful to have had Craigie in the Swallow Hill community for a long time now - a poster for his 2016 show hangs outside our Cafe - and to have more Craigie coming up:

Only a few tickets remain for his show with Blind Pilot on Tuesday, June 23 at Denver Botanic Gardens Summer Concert Series, presented by UMB Bank and produced with Swallow Hill! Get yours quick while you still can 🔗☝️

When's the last time you saw a concert where the artist was so close you could talk to them?! It's a great month for shows in our cozy Tuft Theatre, the smaller of our two stages.

Swipe through to see who you can come listen to in this intimate, seated, storied listening room.

You'll not only support an independent musician and venue, you might just discover your next favorite artist!
