🎨✨ CREATIVITY IS BACK IN ACTION! 🎨🔥

What an exciting first week! 🙌 Southwest Denver Coalition officially kicked off our final 9-week session of Youth Violence Prevention Through Art for 2026!

We were excited to welcome both new and returning young artists back into our creative space! It was great to see familiar faces, meet new participants, and watch our youth begin exploring their creativity. ❤️

🎨 WEDNESDAY | Graffiti Art: Letters, Characters & Color! Instructors Mark & Felipe kicked off their collaborative class with youth ages 5–18, introducing them to the world of graffiti-inspired art! This session will focus on creative lettering, 3-D designs, characters, colorful backgrounds, and mixed-media techniques.

We’re excited to watch our young artists bring their ideas to life as they develop their own unique artistic styles!

📱 FRIDAY | iPad Procreate Studio: Organica Brush, Layer & Design Instructor Mark welcomed youth ages 13–18 into the world of digital art! Using iPads and Procreate, participants began exploring creative brush designs and discovering how digital tools can transform their ideas into original artwork.

Over the coming weeks, they’ll experiment with colors, textures, layers, and different design techniques to create their own digital masterpieces!

💜 MORE THAN JUST ART!

At Southwest Denver Coalition, our Youth Violence Prevention Through Art program is about so much more than creating artwork. It’s about providing a safe, welcoming space where youth can express themselves, build confidence, develop positive relationships, learn new skills, and connect with their peers and mentors.

Every class is an opportunity to inspire creativity, encourage self-expression, and empower our next generation of young artists and leaders.

👏 A huge thank you to instructors Mark Romero and Felipe Dominguez for sharing their talents, creativity, and passion with our youth!

🌟 We can’t wait to see how our young artists grow, collaborate, and bring their creative visions to life over the next eight weeks!

Stay tuned as we share their artistic journeys throughout the session! 🎨❤️
