Thank you to everyone who made it out for our annual Summer Picnic, presented by Children’s Hospital Colorado! Children's Hospital Colorado It was a super fun day for kids with and/ and the people who love them to connect, play, and share in the cleft journey. Thank you to Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation for providing the awesome temporary tattoos and balloon animals! Shout out to ANB Bank for helping make this special day possible! We also enjoyed special VIP appearances by Cleft Confidence founder, Stephon Matthews and Juliet Oduor Alwala, the author of Smile With Malaika!

Thank you, Children's Hospital Colorado for being the Presenting Sponsor for the 2026 Face-To-Face Colorado picnic!

It was a balmy, but great afternoon at the park and many families affected by and spent the day connecting, getting balloon animals, and showing off their temporary tattoos!

Thanks to the Cleft Clinic team for attending and bringing the beach balls! Special thanks to Dr. Discolo for speaking to the group. We’re grateful for partners who want to see their patients supported in all aspects of life and health.

☀️ Yes, we know it's going to be hot this Sunday — but don't let that stop you! We'll be tucked into a shady pavilion at Westlands Park, and it's just a short walk from a splash pad, so the little ones (and the big ones 😉) have a place to cool off between activities.

Face-to-Face Colorado's Summer Picnic is this Sunday, and there's still time to register!

This is one of our favorite events of the year — a laid-back, family-friendly afternoon where kids can just be kids and grown-ups can take a breath. Here's what's in store:

🎮 Games and activities for all ages
🎨 A tattoo artist on-site (the fun, temporary kind!)
🎈 Balloon animals
🍔 A free BBQ lunch for the whole family

But honestly? The food and games are just the bonus. The real magic of this picnic is the community. Whether you're a parent, sibling, grandparent, or caregiver of someone affected by cleft lip and palate, this is a space to connect with other families who truly understand your journey. Swap stories, share tips, or just relax knowing you're surrounded by people who get it.

Come for the fun. Stay for the connections. 💛
