This fall, our friends at Fortis Bank went all in on their Fall Into Reading campaign, hosting a children's book drive at both their Denver and Salt Lake City offices. The result? 260 gently-used children’s books headed to kids who need them! 📚🍂

Their team made the campaign extra special by inviting staff to write the names of their favorite childhood books on colorful fall leaves displayed in the office. What a wonderful reminder that the stories and memories of reading stay with us long after childhood!

Every book collected helps Reach Out and Read Colorado put stories in the hands of young children and encourage families to read together. Thank you to everyone at Fortis for your generosity and enthusiasm. We’re so grateful for your partnership!

Today's the day – It's DAF Day!

Today is Dolly Day - 9 TO 5! And we’re celebrating Dolly Parton’s legacy of giving and her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and grow. Through her Imagination Library, Dolly has helped put millions of books into the hands of children, and we’re proud to carry that spirit of early literacy right here in Colorado.

At Reach Out and Read Colorado, healthcare providers give children a new, developmentally appropriate book at well-child visits from birth through age 5, while encouraging parents and caregivers to make reading together part of their everyday routine.

Reach Out and Read Colorado Regional Coordinators serve as the main support contact for partner healthcare clinics, monitoring fidelity and providing support to site-based personnel via phone, email, and annual in-person visits. The Front Range region includes the following counties: Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Boulder, Denver, Douglas, El Paso, Gilpin, Jefferson, Larimer, Teller, and Weld. (14-18 hours/week)

We were thrilled to partner with Denver Health's Federico F. Peña Southwest Family Health Center at their Back To School Celebration this past weekend to share more than 250 children's books with children and their families!

Thanks to Denver Health and other community partners, this wonderful event distributed more than 200 backpacks filled with school supplies (and books!), helped many children get up to date on their vaccinations, and even partnered with a local hair salon that generously provided free haircuts to students as they prepared for the new school year! 🥰

Thank you to the Baceline Group for volunteering last Friday and sorting over 2,000 gently used children’s books for our Read Me Again program! 📘📕📙 These books will be shared with children age 0-18 throughout the state of Colorado this summer and fall!
