At Reach Out and Read Colorado, we believe every child deserves to see themselves reflected in the stories they read, as well as discover the experiences of others through books. Reading stories that serve as both mirrors and windows helps children build confidence, empathy, and understanding from an early age.

As we celebrate Pride Month, and all year long, we encourage families to explore books that celebrate diverse identities, experiences, and families. When children see that every story matters, they learn that every person matters, too. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Simply set up Reach Out and Read Colorado as your charity of choice, and every time you shop, a percentage of the purchase amount is donated back to us!

Thank you to everyone who supported Reach Out and Read Colorado at our Spring Event on April 30th! It was such a joy to celebrate the magic of bedtime stories with you. 🥰 The evening was filled with warmth, connection, and a shared commitment to helping children and families build meaningful moments through reading.

Because of your support, we are thrilled to share that we raised enough to support more than 24,000 well-child visits across Colorado this year! 📖🎉 Together, we are helping create routines that foster early literacy, strengthen caregiver-child relationships, and set the foundation for lifelong learning.

We are fortunate to get to partner with the most wonderful pediatric health centers to ensure every young child has the strongest start possible! Here, children at Tepeyac Community Health Center in Denver enjoy books in the waiting room while waiting for their check up.

Studies show that reading with your child from a young age supports brain development, builds language skills, and strengthens parent-child bonds.

This Volunteer Appreciate Week, we want to celebrate all the incredible volunteers who make our work possible.💕

From hosting book drives, volunteering in our office to sort book donations and helping out at community and fundraising events, to all the healthcare providers that volunteer their time to deliver our program - we simply couldn't do what we do without you. Last month, Graland Country Day School hosted a school wide book drive for Reach Out and Read Colorado. They were able to collect over 3,000 books for children across Colorado!

To add onto the fun, a group of Graland 8th graders came to the office and helped bring the donations in and then got to work sorting and packing over 2,200 of the books donated from their school.

Thank you, Graland! These books are going to go to new homes all throughout the state.
