So, I don't do this sort of thing, ever, but here goes...

As more of you don't know than do, Christina and I recently had our second daughter, Millicent Eleanor Bruno ("Millie"). Millie has Down's Syndrome, and with it came a ventricular septal defect (i.e. a hole in her heart that you could drive a truck through). She is set to have open heart surgery when she is roughly 5-6 months old.

My nephew Reid, who is 9 years old, is doing a fundraiser for the American Heart Association. He dedicated his fundraising page to Millie and donated $6 of his own money, which is just about the sweetest damn thing I've ever seen a kid do in my life. If each of my facebook friends matched the $6 donation of this 9 year old, we could raise over $2,000 for heart research and blow his $250 fundraising goal out of the water. (Christina and I, so proud of him, have of course already donated well more than $6). Any lawyers available to volunteer in Denver at the Gathering Place on June 20 for 3 hours? You meet with impoverished and homeless individuals, direct them to resources, and help them understand the legal issues they may face. No pressure to have all the answers for them.
