Girl Scouts of Colorado Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.

Nearly 40 Girl Scouts got to experience different sides of the construction industry at Build Like a Girl last month! From learning about force through a large bolt tightening demonstration, to navigating the overhead crane and seeing firsthand how important teamwork is on a jobsite, the Girl Scouts were constantly learning and trying new things. Thanks to our partners at Kiewit Corporation for showing up and inspiring these future engineers!

Election season is right around the corner. But just because your Girl Scout isn't voting yet doesn't mean she can't learn about her civic rights and responsibilities. These upcoming workshops around the state will teach her about:
🙋‍♀️ The history of women voting
🗳️ The voting process
🇺🇸 How officials get elected
🗞️ How laws are made and passed
✨ How she can make a difference!
Spots are limited for these opportunities! Register today on the GS event calendar: https://www.girlscoutsofcolorado.org/en/activities/event-calendar.html

Congratulations to Troop 67358 for earning their Silver Award! 🎉💚 This troop saw that in their community, many kids were struggling with mental health challenges at school, and their teachers were untrained in how to best help. So, Troop 67358 testified for SB 24-007-Behavioral Health First Aid Training that would provide resources and funding for mental health first aid training. Because of their hard work, the bill became a law and they won the National Mental Health First Aid Advocates of the Year, awarded to them in Washington, D.C.

What an amazing announcement to make during World Space Week! 🚀✨

We’re so excited to partner with Girl Scouts of Colorado to bring even more hands-on rocketry and space exploration to the next generation through the Estes Rocket Scientist in Training patch program!

Girl Scouts in grades 4–12 will take on STEM challenges inspired by real rocket scientists and aerospace engineers. They will investigate Newton’s Laws of Motion, explore how rockets fly, and build and launch their own model rocket!

And, of course, they’ll earn their very own Estes Rocket Scientist in Training patch along the way!

Check out the Anytime Activity now, and keep your eyes on the sky for more to come - including an event this April! 🚀
