Swipe to see this year’s Tournament Heads!🤩✨ We’re so grateful to these amazing folks - we couldn’t do Besterns without them and all their derby wisdom! 🦓🦩 Plus, they’re all super cool💁‍♀️

WFTDA Games Tournament Oversight — Atomic Annie

Atomic Annie hails from Cleveland, OH. Her derby journey includes non-skating officiating all over the U.S., working with MRDA, JRDA, and WFTDA teams, and volunteering for WFTDA Sanctioning. Earlier this year, Annie served as co-GTO for WFTDA NA West and NA South Playoffs. In her freetime, Annie is a cat mom, jigsaw puzzle enthusiast, and taekwondo student.

Tournament Head Non-Skating Official — Bill O’Fights

Bill O’ Fights recently celebrated their 3rd anniversary with Rocky Mountain Roller Derby. In addition to herding cats and arguing with clipboards, Bill enjoys working locally with the Denver metro area leagues and helping to train new on- and off-skate officials. In their off-derby time, Bill allegedly does something with computers.

Tournament Head Skating Official — Artie FM

Artie FM (Arch Rival Roller Derby) has been a skating official since 2013. They have made five post-season appearances for WFTDA and MRDA, including crew head referee for 2023 MRDA Western Hemisphere Cup, 2024 WFTDA North America North East Regionals, 2024 WFTDA Global Championships. They started scorekeeping for their high school volleyball team as a way to get out of class early. They have probably seen more Nicolas Cage movies than you.

Tournament Head Announcer — Iron Lung

Iron Lung is the Tournament Head Announcer. An MMA classmate introduced Iron Lung to derby in 2023. He’s had so much fun announcing over 260 games, including at Roller Derby World Cup, WFTDA Playoffs, and The Great Southern Slam in Australia. Lung’s favorite thing about announcing is helping everyone feel epic. Outside of announcing, he loves quad skating in skateparks in every state and country he visits!
